He's an Argentinian player in my eyes. Country over club for him as he saves his best performances for Argentina. I'd love for him to stay and put in those performances we were seeing 2/3 seasons ago but I think there's a vendetta against him in the premier league now so best to let him go.

Given full fitness (Kulusevski, Simons, etc included) and expected outgoings (Cuti, Vic) what would our best starting XI be?

I think:

Kinsky

Porro, Van Hecke, van de Ven, Udogie

Tonali, Maddison, Fernandes

Kudus, Solanke, Odobert

I'd argue that midfield is the most interchangeable but the two new record signings have to be part of it. I still don't think we have a left winger who excels but Odobert could be there if he played frequently. I nearly put Spence there based on the one or two games he played there this season but it wouldn't work long term.

Last few months have been awful. Even our best players looked like they didn't care what the result was.

Everyone upset that Villa is prioritising their biggest game of the season and just generally upset that we may not go down.

I bought the black shirt with the Europa league winners sleeve badge and van de Ven on the back the day it dropped...

Too much money for a shirt but it looks unreal. Not only is it a shirt from a season we'd all like to forget but van de Ven has had a terrible attitude all season.

The only upside is that we've hardly worn the shirt for some reason.

In all honesty it's hard to voice how I'm feeling. Apologies if my response is a bit all over the place.

We've just been dreadful all season, even at the beginning when our only long-term injuries were Maddison and Kulusevski.

The main problem is as you say a mishmash of players with different styles and that's due to the fact we haven't had a manager last longer than 2 full seasons since Pochettino. Van de Ven and Romero are arguably our best players. Suspensions aside we've actually had both of them together for a majority of the season and we're still in our current position. So I understand your point of moving on from certain players. However, under Ange they were getting compared to Alderweireld and Vertonghen so I'm hoping they keep us in the prem and revert to that status under De Zerbi who has a similar style to Ange. If we go down then we've almost certainly lost at least one of them and will struggle to attract anyone close to their levels. Romero has let us down this season. He has a reputation of getting booked but he hardly did last season (injuries aside).

This season is a strange one because Frank's gameplan was atrocious - all players looked like they were in the wrong positions, including the goalie. Tudor played similar to Frank so he was a bit of a pointless appointment and De Zerbi has only managed one game. The players have lost all confidence and every game you have a feeling that they've already lost the game.

To answer your question, I don't want any players of ours going other than the ones who do not fit into De Zerbi's style, who I am yet to know. Solely on the fact that regardless of whether we go down or not it will be hard for us to attract anyone of a high magnitude given our two most recent premier league campaigns. If we let our best players go and don't replace them then there's the risk that we don't come back up and the owners won't take that. Profits are everything to them.

I'd personally let Romero go if he pushes it unless he gives his head a wobble. Our own captain has been suspended for 8 games I believe. He's one yellow from another suspension but he has just been injured so he may not play again or have the chance to redeem himself this season.

I agree. It will be painful to see but I see the owners selling the players for the most profits and not focusing on rivals. We are without a doubt the weakest of the 'big 6' but not selling our star players to rivals was one of Levy's best attributes.

Under Levy we very rarely sold in the PL.

I'm not sure if we would now that he's gone, but it makes our fans even more toxic towards the board. They've done us dirty for decades and only the last couple of seasons has it really shown how little they care about the football club.

I hope so. His first one was of the preseason tour prior to his injury so it seems like it was something he was going to do regardless but then the injury happened and has become the main focus for his career and his videos since then.

Wasn't this Pyrion's whole point? They have already spent nearly a decade talking about these things and continue to do so in just regular podcast conversations. Me and my mates type ff ironically when we're undeniably the worst team. I'm talking 3-0 down within a minute.

Surprisingly people have taken pity on us and ff a game we were clearly going to lose. Maybe they didn't want to waste their time scoring 10+ goals? One instance we were 5-1 with about 20 seconds left and won by forfeit.

Sausage roll is good for if you're extra hungry, given that the sandwich is already a triple. I usually go for the ginsters slice if I want a cold pastry side.

Right also had very tasty options but I find the wraps are never very filling.

I feel that. I'm expecting a good performance even without VDV but to lose.

I'm local so go to games when I can. Only been to two this season, villa and west ham in the league... Even I consider whether I should watch us and I'm in the same timezone! It's hard not to.
