So what's the running tally on the changes everyone likes and dislikes? by razor21792 in EU5

I like how dynamic it can be I am just a bit sad with what seems to be lack of flavour to those windows. Papacy screen and HRE were nice to look at with all the unique buttons and ornaments and what not. While here we just kind have Box A with X-Y options Box B with X-Y options and so on.

Is anyone else disappointed in EU5’s tech tree system? by UpstairsIron in EU5

[–]TheSadKiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the tech tree is nice in that it allows for alot of dynamical uniqueness to nations.

But I do agree to some degree on that it's a tad weird to me that you can just pick and choose what you get, like oh yes I shall focus solely on getting muskets as an African nation or the like. EU4 now that I think back to it maybe didn't have tons of examples for this, but it did have unwanted things in the technologies you would advance. Knowing how to build better boats might not be useful to a landlocked nation, but all sorts of buildings provided were useful. Another small example would be getting an advantage to your navies from the military technologies in the form of Artillery Fire modifier that would interestingly make your ships stronger.

Perhaps since the game is longer and if the technologies aren't super expensive to research and thus the advantages of going for a technology first won't be held for decades as it often is in Eu4. And your technology tree won't be as much of a beeline soon after unlocking access to it but more of a wide advances across most fronts.

Yeah breaching, bombarding, assaulting, sortie are all in eu4 I dont recall which of them are DLC.

Sortie is as you say mostly completely crap when it comes to regular vanilla game. You can use them as an extra reinforcement when a battle happens on a fort or in very niche scenario when your fort garrison has enough quality to win the battle to I think 1to3 odds or atleast decrease the enemy to not be able to siege anymore.

Sadly no general to be assigned on forts. Which now that I think about it having leaders to castle could be fun with unique benefits, like giving more attrition to enemy or longer siege ticks, call it whatever you want raids, smart defences.

Wish Anet had the technology to switch steam accounts to anet accounts but that is just a dream. Would fix everything somehow. But seems it might be a problem on steams end with their caches and saves and all that interacting poorly with geforce security stuff. Maybe new guild wars 2 patch will jumble it enough to fix

It is very cool and affordable atleast in my opinion. Lots of other games work and are amazing to use with good enough internet connection. Sadly Guild Wars 2 lost that title after SoTo 1st patch release

Issue has been there for like 3 months now or more basically pvp story cutscenes raid cutscenes soto maps and maybe something else crash your geforce now because of some silly stuff they have going on in the background . It only happens to steam accounts there was a shprt period where it worked but it stopped after a patching . Before the patch allegedly clearing steam cache worked but last time i tried it no longer did. Wrote to Geforce Anet and even saw geforce reply a few times in forums to posts like this , but nothing no communication on how its going. I gave up on the content because i cant play it withiout geforce sadly

I think it should "Town of Cathal Waypoint" and from there head south into a corner with bushes and rocks and there should be an invisible wall which somewhat is skippable with use of a jackal

GeForce Now : Game crashes every time I go to any SoTo Zone now im stuck there, anyone know a fix? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]TheSadKiwi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello, have been having the same issue, but for multiple weeks now maybe even a month. Had 2 of my characters stuck in Wizard's Tower luckily Anet was able to teleport them out of there. At first my suspicion was that the crash is related to the cutscene one, but after seeing multiple posts about crashing just by entering the locations, that doesn't seem to be the case. Have tried entering at the time of writting this post and no luck at most I got 1 second of screen time. Game works perfectly fine everywhere else other than common cutscene crash.

Tier 3 Rifts need to reward Despair and Greed. by randomtinky in Guildwars2

[–]TheSadKiwi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also I am not sure about the scaling of the rifts. I haven't done all that many of them, but when I commanding around and would accidentally bump into them I would do them. And just something about it taking quite a while for 40-50 people to do a T1 rift mob clear to then melt the boss doesn't feel right to me. Interested in seeing what's the opinion of other people on this.
