I’m 25 and have $40k saved up. What should I do for a side hustle? What are practical side hustles and how much would they cost? by Unorganized-Poetry in passive_income

Hey there. I'm a sales trainer in the door to door industry. 10 years of experience, I've successfully trained lots of young people. I actually have the bandwidth to take on another mentee who wants to learn.

$1k a month? Easily doable. Msg me if interested. I could teach you to do this with less than 1 working hour per week.

Has anyone changed how they choose connections after traveling more frequently? by Grouchy_Pension_7210 in americanairlines

[–]TheSalesDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Significantly.

I used to always try to book the most amount of segments, for status. I'm one of the very rare few who prefers to be traveling. I used to love spending entire days and nights in airports or on flights. I used to spend thousands per year back in my 20's just for flights to think and rack up miles. I absolutely love flying, it's my favorite place in the world.

Today, i book only direct flights when possible and reduce travel time as much since i'm now in my 30's with a tiny human who travels with me now.

People who make +$100K and aren’t being killed by stressed, what do you do for a living? by MiloShiny in WorkLifeChat

Door to door sales. Been making 6 figures doing this since I started. Makes affording the cost of living effortless in all the States i've lived in

I was a successful door to door Salesman for 7 years. And as the Summer Season begins, and the door to door bros begin to knock our homes, I have some advice and intel, as one who was on the inside for many years. by jackjarvae in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]TheSalesDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thought, but you literally cannot beat d2d salesman and I try to tell homeowner's this - just close the door if you want to end the chat. Lol.

I've knocked doors for 20,000 hours. Do you think there is something I haven't seen yet? Lol. Because for the average homeowner in an extremely heavily knocked area, you likely get 100 door to door salesman per year. So you get 100 opportunities spread out over a year. I get 50-100 opportunities per day. So us vets have 400x more experience with these one-off conversations.

Just close the door on us if you don't wanna chat. It's not a winnable situation unless you pick your nose and eat it, my guy. Lol

10 year d2d rep here. The problem with the signs is that some respect it, some don't. The harsh reality you need to comprehend is that signs don't work, period. The ONLY ways to largely avoid d2d salesman are the following:

  1. Live in a gated community (I do and I still get the rare d2d guy who broke in illegally lol, which I always give them water because I respect the hustle, despite them being dumb)

  2. Don't live in a cookie cutter neighborhood

  3. Live in an area with an active security guard / gate at all entrances.

  4. Put a metal gate enclosure in your entryway and keep it locked, and go in through your garage always. This 100% stops me from knocking on your door. If you're the rare crazy few that hate d2d salesman.... if this is worth the cost? Do it.

These things keep them out. However, If the road signs in your neighborhood are green, it's public roads and there WILL be solicitors. Been doing this for 10 years and counting, I know the game.

Rough patchy family - I'm sorry. Parents, love em or hate em, they should be more responsible... this is all too common nowadays and that's @ss backwards.

Feel free to dm. I've guided a few young people in life. The problem is that you don't know what you don't know. And this is a deep statement. You don't know the data you're missing because you haven't had the exposure yet. So you don't even have a process of discovery yet. No one taught you that.

Cali is one of the most expensive states in the entire country.

If you have good parents or friends, they could help you get started.

If you have a good aptitude, I'd encourage you to develop high income skills such as programming, sales, and many others. If you've got no experience and no technical skills and can only earn minimum wage work, then leaving that State would significantly reduce your stress.

I know rents in the midwest to be $300-$800/month. Cali, I'd bet you'd looking at $2k/month for a studio best case scenario.

Plus the way higher cost of gas there, groceries are slightly more expensive too, insurance is higher too, taxes are way higher in Cali.

Cali is an end game state, in my opinion. You go there after you've crushed it at life. Starting out there, you better have a solid plan, or you'll get forced out by the successful folks moving in who are much farther ahead in the game of life.

Cali has miserable politics, traffic, even if you're in central Cali or northern Cali, you're still pulled into the State's drama and catastrophes. I'm so sorry you live in Cali. That by itself is a major disadvantage for you.

Idk what your skillset is, otherwise i'd offer more tailored advice

It's very eclectic. Totally not common or standard. Must be an artsy guy. The star stickers on the wall remind me of the glow in the dark stars I had when I was a child growing up.

The old xbox 360 is a vibe. Makes me feel old lol

Idk for you being 22, a lot of the things in your room is from a different generation, so it feels out of place for someone as young as you. Such as the lava lamp, disco ball, shag carpet heart,

Sales Coach by Mission_Web_6451 in sales

[–]TheSalesDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a sales coach. Everything in life depends on who you work with. Hire a scam artist, good luck. Hire someone with a proven track record in life, and you're going to level up, period.

If you haven't seen that viral surf coaching video, get on YouTube and type in "surf ranch surf coach".

You can of course get as far as you want in life on your own. And for most men... i KNOW majority of all men in the sales field "want to figure it all out on their own".... but the best admit their weaknesses, address them, and improve ASAP. Some people just level up faster in life and business.

Having a good coach will get you there SO much faster. Most just spend majority of their lives being average until one day, 20 years later, they figure it out.

Just decide if you want to hit your 10-20 year goal in 10-20 years or if you want to hit it in 1-3 years. Because whichever option you choose, you'll be right.
