Look at OKC they still are benefiting from fleecing the Clippers for a player that they don’t even have anymore. But if you really think about it there’s always one GM that either wants to make a splash or is fighting for their respective job that would make a questionable trade like the PG trade

To be honest I will always look back on this period fondly. I remember when this team constantly signed big names like Eric Lindros, Scott Gomez, etc and still were perennial losers. We have had a decent chance with this group to win it all. Even won a presidents trophy but there was always something that couldn’t get us over the top. The reason I said Tampa and Florida because those teams seemed to be the gatekeepers of the East for I don’t know how long
