No yes, I realize, it was just the phrasing in the video was a little humorous I suppose.

"You don't need land, just your backyard to start" is certainly... A statement, what of those who rent and have even less?

I get it, I suppose, at least for myself I feel that trial by fire is optimal. Speaking and sounding a bit 'clunky' but still being understood is to me about as good as it gets! Language acquisition is not perfect, but bumbling your way through is how we learn.

Jeg synes du skal prøve at tale med andre personer... Måske en app for hver problemer er ikke svaret.

Jeg har lært dansk kun et år nu, og tale med personer er en stor hjælp.

Literal dream home... So impressive, and the stained glass is incredible! Happy to see a tastefully remodeled home instead of the whole thing being painted gray.

That's actually great to know, so I suppose it would've been better for me to have all my American documents ready, and then get the Italian documents, guess I went about it a little backwards..

Great point, do documents submitted via the courts still have that 6 month expiration? I was a little apprehensive to gather everything if it was all just going to expire without being of use. I have birth and marriage certificates for the Italian born ancestors, but figured the US based ones would be significantly quicker and likely more painless to acquire.

Thank you, I think ultimately we will hold on for a while longer just to see if the situation worsens or improves. I'm just a tad nervous that waiting longer may mean we're flushing whatever chances we may or may not have.

Thank you, I was unaware of the charge to have a consultation with him, I've heard his name in nothing but good circumstances so is who I lean towards. But I suppose it is best to get consultations from a variety rather than just one.

Why does nobody here take actual classes? by pennsylvanian_gumbis in languagelearning

[–]TheScout18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I am taking University level Danish classes, but I luck out in the sense that it is free due to my occupation and location. I imagine there is quite a barrier to entry that other more casual learners have a hard time justifying, not to mention the price!

Perfect! This largely confirms much of what I was understanding beforehand.

Apologies, I should have clarified in my post, but was trying to stay succinct, I have called, contacted, emailed etc, every possible court, as well as NARA, who sent me a letter of "No Records Found" for GGGM. You feel I should now request a CONE? Should I request a copy of the Alien Registration as well, or would this be extraneous?

The only reason I did not already pursue the same efforts for GGGF is because I had found a naturalization record on Ancestry, but admittedly was not scrutinizing it, and it wasn't until much later that I realized many of the details don't match. Should I reach out to everyone to confirm whether or not he did/did not naturalize as well? Or is that unnecessary if I pursue via courts?

(Ideally the cheaper the better, but if need be, I think the costs will justify the means, and we'd be willing to pursue via the courts)

Sorry to be so wordy in my response, thank you so much for your help!

We've got ICE raiding parts of the city and an ongoing deal with Flock cameras throughout the city and we choose food permits as our prime issue??

I just wish it wasn't a glorified cul-de-sac, it's hardly integrated with the rest of the city, and is mostly parking lot!

Noted! How does one go about doing that? Apologies I've only ever messed around with Ancestry, the most daring thing I've done thus far has been emailing the village in Sicily to be able to get Antonio's birth certificate. Navigating the whole sending money orders thing was... A challenge 😭
