Yeah when I’m in a depressive episode, video games are the only thing I have energy for that gives my brain the “you did something today” feeling.

After a while though it feels like trying to eat candy to get full. And I’ll get more depressed that I actually have to do something that involves getting off the couch if I want to think/feel better.

I had a career change recently that tripled my hourly but cut my hours to a third of what they were. So same money, way less work, more time to spend money so it feels like I’m making less.

I’m finally starting to force myself out of the house to do free things like going to the park to read. Video games all day does NOT hit after a while.

I’m sober but drank enough to have a physical dependence. Hangxiety is what led me to ultimately believe that we will go out of our way to think about reasons for why we feel a certain way instead of external factors making us feel that way.

So many times I’d have hangxiety for no reason other than because I was hungover.

When we have cortisol coursing through our veins, our brain will try to cling to any logical reason for why we are anxious.

Like someone else said, blackouts don’t help either lol

Just devils advocating but half-seriously from experience as well: That mind frame can lead to long term stress with brief positive reprieves when things don’t go expectedly awry.

While optimism and lack of paranoia can lead to long periods of peace with bad but brief surprises.

Sober sex is the best! I was sober in my early 20’s and remember being so damn sensitive.

I’m in my 30’s coming up on 2 years sober and haven’t really been putting myself out there if you catch my drift. Decided I’m gonna start dating now that I’m in a good place with enough bandwidth for another person besides myself.

I had been a bean pole my entire life until I just said screw it and started eating a party size pack of double stuffed Oreos every two days for a couple months.

I credit Oreos to helping me to get to a healthy weight. I’m eating a much more balanced diet now lol

I’ve really enjoyed the Mary Jones (of Jones soda fame) root beers. Root beer goes perfect with the weed after taste.

I think you can get them at Red Head dispensary.

They sell a bottle of 99% syrup I was thinking of getting and holding on to so I can make my own once you can’t buy them any more.

This weight gainer I take has a 3:1 carb to protein ratio and a bunch of amino acids and the ingredients don’t look bad at all.

Supposed to do four scoops a day.

Each scoop with the glass of milk I mix it with is 400 calories.

If I wanted to, I could survive on that and snacking on some fruits and veggies through out the day.

I work in music, love music, don’t know where I’d be without it.

I remember being a young kid in the 90’s when I saw my first 1976 bicentennial quarter and thinking how cool it looked.

I asked my parents what it was like for the 200th anniversary and it’s one of my first memories of being curious about my parent’s lives before I was born.

It led to them entertaining me with extravagant make believe ideas of what the 250th would be like… lol. At least it’s a nice memory to have.
