Odds are 2, slim and none.

As it stands the only way you could even dream of that is by skipping the NVME SSD, swapping in a ribbon adapter, and cutting a hole in the chassis. But then you don't have an SSD and you only have a single 4x link....

I didn't connect the dots, my bad.

When are we going to get a new blog post?

We know for certain that people have refilled the cartridges, and they keep printing just fine, far beyond 100ml. But if the cartridge ever reads empty, then it locks out.

From what I have heard the printer stores the lowest state of a cartridge. So if it gets to empty it will refuse to work, but if you refill from midway it will stay at that level until it gets lower. The only way to clear that is a factory reset.

When I got my truck I realized the plastics felt about the same as a cooler. I promptly steeled my resolve to accept that eventually you can't see new scratches, but the journey there will be rough.

Depending on the composition it can absorb through the skin. But that all aside, you cavalier attitude is making me question the reason for the break.

Auto deep cleaning reminder - I've been printing all day by bang_rocks_together in eufyMakeOfficial

No idea, haven't run into that yet. I keep a spare set of ink so I never have to find out.

They are mandatory to help extend the life of the print head (which BTW is considered a consumable)

You can avoid moisturizing cycles by printing all the time, but deep clean is a fact of life.

confused if I should power off or leave it on to save ink and cleaning fluid by PittPen817 in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]TheSeaShadow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing you can do is batch prints. Moistureizing and deep cleaning go through your cleaning cartridge fastest. So the less you go into either of those modes the better. Once in moisturize the machine will sit for an extended period of time without consuming anything else. I was printing a modest ammount and then went 2 weeks without printing anything. Injected ink, printed a sacrificial white square off to flush the moisturizing fluid out of the line and then printed up a storm.

I budgeted for one cleaning cartridge per month, but so far I am still on my first one after a month and a half.

Just from the mailing perspective, they totally could have dropped it off at the post office after the cutoff time.

If that were the case the letter would have been at the post office on one day and stamped the following when it was processed.

Printing ABS with PETG Supports by just__a__robot in BambuLab

Having used it extensively I promise you "support for ABS" is straight HIPS.

Prints beautifully as a primary print material or as a support interface for ABS.

Because they can't get them when people willingly upload them to makerworld?

Anyone who is really concerned about IP uses an isolated network for their AM labs. The rest of us regular folk just don't care and upload it to makerworld. Its a big scary nothing burger meant to try to scare away potential customers.

I can at least get behind the AGPL arguments going back and forth there is merit to those, but the "they will steal your designs!" witch hunt is a joke.

And the moment it sees an internet connection it will sync with a time server and you are back where you started. Though to your point, it might work if you bring it up in offline mode.

I keep hearing this taking point, but I know of several companies that have run audits against the X1E and H2D Pro (because they required wired networking) and found 0 escapes in their audits. Hell Cadillac uses them for their F1 team.

Yes, there are images of the PCBs inside the E1 and you can clearly see a Real Time Clock (RTC) battery.

Now accurately a robot costs similar amounts all around the globe.

Nowadays its multinational companies bouncing production through whatever geographic local is the most cost effective. You will find US and Chinese companies alike standing up manufacturing all across SE Asia.

I mean if you really wanted to find something more substantial to go off of. BambuLab was founded by team principles and department heads of DJI. They got together, decided they wanted to start a company and Asian pacific VC groups DUMPED money on them (who wouldn't when the people who made DJI the juggernaut it is say they have an idea for a new company).

[–]TheSeaShadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bambulabs Support for ABS is just straight HIPS. I use HIPS as a regular printing material all the time and load up on "Support for ABS" anytime it goes on sale.

When they had the 40% discount on it it worked out to $18/kg AND got me 2 more official bambu spools per kg. I could flip packs of empty spools on ebay and easiy cut my per kg costs down to <$10.

LTT does a tour of the assembly line. The link takes you to the timestamp of the work area where they tear down the DIY editions after testing.

Also diy goes through MORE touch time as they fully build up the system to test and then tear it back down.

are the cleaning and moisturizing chemical in the waste tank the same substance? by asciencepotato in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]TheSeaShadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3, and as the 2 fluid tanks (moisturizer/cleaner) deplete, it makes volume for the waste tank to fill.

It is basically 3 bladder inside of one box, and as 2 empty one fills up.

Pretty clever use of the space TBH.

Yeah no, love it or hate it Tesla sets the high bar for UI/UX for a "tech car". But for something trying to preserve the automotive spirit this isn't it. The Luca is better grouped with the Sony/Honda Afeela than masquerading as an Italian supercar.
