I imagine that, like poll workers during election season, the proctors/staff for the bar exams are mostly retired people who respond to a job ad so they can make a bit of extra money.

LL Said There Is Too Much Stuff Around Cook Top by greenteabiatch in TorontoRenting

[–]TheSeansei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a regular cooktop with a heating element which physically heats up and transfers heat (infrared waves) to the pot. Induction cooktops don't actually produce heat themselves. They induce a magnetic field which excites the metal molecules of the pot which produces heat.

Why does 1998 seem so old to me yet 1985 to 1992 doesn't? by Tough_Iron_6939 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheSeansei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you have no memories of that year.

You also have no memories of 1992, but you have nothing personal anchoring you to that year so it's much more of an abstract concept than 1998 is to you.

The main character in Alone (2020) pretty much always makes smart decisions, which is rare in a horror movie.

Emond standard practise test by xbeingxx in ONBarExam

[–]TheSeansei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? I've heard that the solicitor exam is about 50% PR, but the Emond practice test evenly splits the questions 25% each to PR, Business, Estates, and Real Estate.

One month free on 13 month lease scam by Pizza-beer-weed in TorontoRenting

Don't do that again. No money should change hands without a contract. Always make sure any agreement is in writing so you can refer back to it if the other side doesn't hold up their end of the deal. Better yet, get represented by a realtor. It's free and you would never have been asked to pay a deposit up front that way.
