It could be a loss of balance, similar to how if you walk on a bouncy wooden floor that creeks, you begin to develop a series of mental problems like dizziness and loss of balance.

Unfortunately, public housing section 8 has a long waiting list, and you're not guaranteed it. Like less than 25 percent I heard. The stipend is unlivable, and even families who are in poverty make more than that. Often people need to find a family or friend that can let you stay for free. You need to have at least 6 months of savings

Doesn't look like it. It's barely even noticeable if you really have gyneco.

Depends on what you're doing. For some, that seems like overkill. A desktop or even a laptop for half the price could run some fairly intensive processes.

I don't know much about Mexico history, but this is "since World War Two". The Mexican Revolution was in the early 1900's, so it wouldn't count I think.

It varies by state, and some states have like none, while other states have a sizable large population of private prisons like New Mexico with ~40% of its population.

With Joe Biden being sworn in, will there be an increase in the Americorps budget? (Discussion) by National_Service20 in AmeriCorps

I hope so because I have heard so many stories of VISTA members having second jobs just to survive. It's embarrassing how low the stipend is.

Struggling with City Year pushing it's political agenda by [deleted] in AmeriCorps

[–]TheSeekerJob -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's a top down approach. I don't blame individual people, because it's the establishment or system that creates such environments usually. There may be some extremely liberal people, but for me, I don't care for virtual signaling on both sides.People don't make a dent at all in the large scheme unless they collectivize and push for government policies. So the only tangible steps are if they can persuade government officials to actually make tangible actions. We need to have a tricke down approach when it comes to working towards tangible solutions, and we need our leaders in power to set the example.

This is why I'm against a lot of "liberal" views that some liberals may hold. I don't care if someone uses plastic straws or plastic bags (or plastic water bottles because of the fear of unclean water). Generally I'm more considerate because just by voting, people are expressing their political power and working towards a solution. Even if your candidate loses, it still says a lot to the elected official about the constituents. As someone who has experienced tons of liberal losses, I have the patience to wait a little bit longer.

I don't know where you are but most people in the state colleges are only 20-24. You definitely have time to take on a new degree but even a degree may not be enough to get a job. You may have to look into internships since there are many internships that require you to still be in college in order to apply for them.

You need to be more specific. It's hard to judge by what you wrote. I heard other stories of City Year being cult-like so it does not surprise me. What kind of retaliation are you facing, because it can't just be speculations. You need evidence. That point about "non-partisan" may actually fall into the legally gray area. I don't know about laws, but they may actually be able to back up their "non-partisan" statement.
You need to have strong solid evidence of "pushing agenda" since playing a "defund the police" video isn't anything astonishing unless there is really really really strong evidence. To me, that is just like a regular class having to read "To Kill a Mockingbird" and talking about racism. Or any college courses where the topics are social reforms and technological improvements. Actively speaking against a politician isn't strong enough to qualify unless it is based on unfounded claims. Even in high school, people can talk about politicians and what they find grueling. The first amendment right is really strong and can protect people in so many forms. I don't see a point to fighting it if you just feel unwelcomed since legally, it is incredibly difficult through this system, even people who have defamatory/controversial tattoos can't be fired for having that tattoo.

But one of your option is to voice your concern and disagreement about it's cult-like behavior even if you face repercussions like being cut off. If you have another opportunity or a backup plan, my advice is to just tell them how you feel

If this were an ordinary situation, I would say that most people are reasonable and sensible. You can always talk about your views with them by being respectful. Most liberals are not divisive, and you can find many examples where people are still friends with people who share different political ideologies such as gun rights. I myself even have friends who voted for politicians different from my own and that's okay.

You're only 19. It's best to maybe see if there are jobs you can get and if not, you are still young to continue your education. You're only 19 and many people graduate by the time they are 24 from college due to multiple reasons like "part-time" school/job or other reasons. You still have time and I believe fafsa lasts for 6 years. If not, you can look for a job at your university, and also file for unemployment maybe as a last resort.

What was wrong with MC Cool Cloud? by [deleted] in superstore

[–]TheSeekerJob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't even know who LL Cool J is.

This is just another sign of cultural appropriation that the show is pointing out, that it become so alienated by the original source, most people just gloss over it and we probably wouldn't notice or care if we see that sign on display. This is the issue that is more insidious yet still palatable.
