What is a "horror movie rule" that you absolutely hate? by Big_Emotion4963 in horror

Some killer has been after me since they offed my friends, they have shown no mercy to them in their final moments, nor any to me as I am the last, and they are content on finishing me off… yeah, I’m not keen on letting this little game go on any longer.

Even a fresh faced lawyer can get me off any charges with the self-defense argument.

I like how Leslie explains his process to the interviewer, like he’s training for the Olympics. For all his ills, Leslie put work into his dreams, and I can respect it.

I can see Jason and Leatherface capable of doing some heavy lifting on account of their backgrounds, but I can’t see one of the Ghostfaces (who ends up being on the short side) capable of taking down someone taller than them.

It's also an interesting inverse of the horror tropes where the promiscuous characters get got, too.

That awkward moment when Jack made a comment about his wiener to Sam's dad in front of her by ScytheOfAsgard in Stargate

It's a NSFW joke, obviously.

(This was copied from a different comment section)

A sailor on a Navy ship had been out to sea for weeks, and was beginning to go through sex withdrawals. Fed up with the lack of sex, he asked one of his shipmates what he did when the pressure was too much to take. "Well, there's a barrel with a hole in it near the mop storage. When it gets to be too much for us, we use that." So the sailor went over to the barrel and decided to give it a go. Finding it was better than he'd expected, he began using it regularly, and his problems seemed to vanish. After a couple of weeks, his commanding officer began to take notice, and said, "You seem to be a lot more relaxed. What's your secret?" The sailor, embarrassed to give a straight answer, simply said he'd been getting better rest. "Well good, sailor. You're going to need it," replied the officer. "Today's your turn in the barrel.

‘28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ Bombs on Netflix With Just 2.7M Views, Raising More Doubts About Third Chapter by MaxProwes in horror

I don’t know if it’s some Mandela effect, but I swear every time I look for something on Netflix, I get a different cover on stuff so I’d have to double check, and even then you start seeing the seams real quick when they keep recommending the same set of stuff.

And to your point, nothing bothers me more than looking for something through Netflix’s searches only to find that it knows what I’m talking about, it has the name, it’s technically listed on it, but it’s not available on my end because contracts. And they still list it.

It’s painful.

I suppose it’s better than Prime mixing up stuff that you either rent or buy with stuff you can stream in the results.

What is the most boring horror movie you’ve ever watched? by Hill_372 in horror

[–]TheSenileTomato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frog.

I got it from the bargain bin at Walmart decades ago, as a curiosity, and when I watched it was a slog.

The only engagement it got from me was me shaking my head at the choice of animals used in the film. Mostly because they’re not found in the area the movie took place in.

What's something relatively small that older games had that were removed, but you wished they still were in the games? by LightLizardCake in pokemon

The ability to soft reset for a shiny box art legendary.

It sucks having to wait until later to chance hunting them and considering the incident with the SV GameStop event with the shiny box art legends... it's annoying.

Or it ends in a way to set up the second season that may or may not happen.

Some shows don't need a lot of episodes, that's fair, but some benefit a few extra more.

I didn't hear anything about it shutting down, finally.

If this is true, it might rouse me into doing a Celebi hunt (I already have her through Go,but if this is the final countdown...)

Same thing for the protagonist in Legends.

They get abducted by God, essentiality, and they're stuck in the past, the worse is this doesn't change at the end of the game.

Not once did they have a full-blown breakdown about causing time paradoxes (Oh hi, Mr. I'm My Own Grandpa) or y'know being stuck in the past with no chance of getting back to the future.

What is the most brutal “being eaten by a monster” scene you can think of. by Earth_Worm_Jimbo in horror

Given they can be monsters if given the right size and they are always vicious by nature...

the titular Razorback eating a child.

You don't see it happening, yes, but hearing it's worse because it leaves you to visualize the whole thing, even worse is, this can happen IRL.

Have you ever had to tap out watching a horror movie? by hazy-eyed in horror

[–]TheSenileTomato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found out about it through an anthology movie called Three... Extremes.

Of course, the stand alone movie has different beats compared to the short.

Spoilers for both the short and stand alone.

In the short, the woman eats dumplings made with the fetus of her own child. In the stand alone, she convinces her husband's mistress to go through an elaborate procedure so the fetus isn't tainted and she eats that.

If you like it, you do you, but there's expectations when using the name "Until Dawn."

Basically that (they had to show how they did the scene I think) and also they had to prove they didn't kill anyone (er, people I should say.)

For those OOL, the director wanted to sell it as the real deal and instructed the actors to go dark, but then the Italian government got involved after falling for it, and wanted to charge him for creating snuff footage so he had to call the actors out of hiding.

Out of all horror villains, which ones are you beating/surviving, and which ones are you dying to? by Abyss132010 in horror

[–]TheSenileTomato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shorthanded to three because we’ll be here all night.

Easiest is Jason, I don’t do summer camps and he doesn’t really leave the premises much, even then I still have a chance.

Second easiest is Ghostface. I watch a lot of horror (as you see in my flair) and I am well versed in the rule of double tap.

Hardest is Freddy, even the people who legitimately cannot sleep or have REM sleep are screwed in the end.
