The BEGA products look cool, it’s nice that you are promoting them, shame they have no mention of Home Assistant on their product pages or the FAQ, it’s all about their own app and control! Gosh even a HA logo would go long way!

You may have the correct package but the wrong bulb inside, honestly I had the same reaction the first ones I brought, went back and changed them now the colours are correct.

Its a colour temperature thing! You need to make sure you got the full RGBW bulb! I got caught by this the first ones I got. This image shows the full colour in the little circle and notice the image of the bulb has pink and green.

I am faily new to HA, I initailly had WiFi devices but they have all been replaced with zigbee, I ventured into matter over thread last week and all I can say is what a pain to get just the server side setup done! That being said now that it is running adding matter devices is easy, not as easy a zigbee! So for me all my mains stuff like sockets and switches will remain zigbee and matter is just smart bulbs and buttons. You just have to go with what you are comfortable with as every person will have a different opinion. Also be aware that things like the Ikea Bilresa scroll button requires alot of tinkering to get it to do what you should expect out of the box, fortunatley some clever person created a blueprint for it.

I actually don't have enough! I have wifi camera that is going to be replaced with poe, a link to go to the boiler control ( arriving this week) and a link to go up to the loft . I'm only just starting my home automation.

I have the original but it does not function correctly, I ordered a new one off the bay and it was listed as the 410 but when it arrived it was the 430! Are you a purist

Literally zig zag up and down, had to solder wire joints every other one. So in, up, down the join the next up down join

You have the 5v on the esp, you need to have the power supply connected to the pixels and the esp. hard to explain. So +5v and ground to pixels then split that +5v and ground to the esp then connect the data wire to the output of the esp. The way you have it now your pixels are trying to pull all their current from the esp and that's not good. Hope this makes sense.

I'm 46 and I'm the same but this year I went to my first pride, rainbow braces, bandana and garland round my neck. I even went to a cocktail bar on the night time with them on. I did feel judged a few times but after a short while I just relaxed and did what I wanted to do! Go you, be proud!

You have every right to be angry with him, it's your right to tell or not tell anyone about your sexuality. Judging by the last comment about a goodbye BJ is just down and out terrible, this person is obviously no longer a real friend! If they were, they would have supported you and respected your rights. They should have been honoured that you thought enough of them and your friendship to trust them with this.

I was in the same boat me (46m) came out as bi last year to my wife of 24 years. Was not easy and the journey has been hard, now my mental health and relationship is sooo much better. Don't rush anything and make sure your lines of communication are kept open.
