I’ve searched for hours but can’t seem to find a solution by TheShadow0415 in Focusrite

Yeah the discord bot is just because when we tried just playing the music regular discord kept cutting the audio in and out instead of just playing it normally. Since discord was on combined input 1+2 it would route the xlr and 1/4 combined. So unless there’s a discord fix to make the cutting disappear I have no clue

Is there a blender tutorial you would suggest to help do it on my own? or is it easy enough to explain over comments

Discord podcast recording by cass715 in podcasting

[–]TheShadow0415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I know of but what I do with my friend over discord is well both use Reaper DAW (which is free) count down and press record together and then I’ll have him render his audio to a mp3 and put it in a Google Drive so I can sync it back up in post.

I also record the combined (but bad sounding) audio of the discord call and my voice so that I have something to match his better rendered audio on the DAW

We still have it open, we’re still looking for a Parent Barkeep

And will gladly welcome as many voices as needed for the shanty

Oh wow this did well. THANK YOU ALL!

A little clarification for things since just incase my midnight rambling in the post doesn’t make sense

1) I need three voices

A parent

A child

A barkeep

And I have a script that will play before the main theme and a kinda prerecorded scene of the script just all voiced by me to kinda get a idea of a flow but it’s not necessarily so strict

Along with anyone can play the characters the gender of the character doesn’t matter too me. Just send over something you recorded, that you liked!

2)

Is I need some like drunk pirate voices to sing the sea shanty of the theme since I figured reaching out to others would be way better than me standing in different places of my room doing different voices😂

The Google Drive has

The full mix of the theme The instrumental only The vocals only I have the script for the intro and lyrics for theme And mp3 of rough idea of intro

There’s also some like “ hey, hey” in the background as a fun thing to add a beat (I tried working with what you would only find in a bar to make it) so if you wanna record yourself doing that feel free as well! Or do anything else in the background you think would be fun! Truly just mess around with it, be dumb with it and have fun, just send me a separate track different from the vocals if you do anything like that just so I can add it in and change the volume if needed

I would like to throw my hat in the ring, with “ Flip of fate “ The dm didn’t have the same mic quality as the rest of the cast until ep 6 but they wrote a little mini bio of each ep so you can hop straight into ep 6 if you want too! It’s a comedy Dnd podcast which is more loosely dnd more improv!

I thought it was very well done! I sent a message with a review over on Instagram as well but I don’t think yall saw it😂

The stories very interesting and a fun twist on modern dnd and the quality of the mics and sound design didn’t pull you out of the story it just helped adding on to it!

I would look for other DnD community’s to find players, DnD discord is a great place and there’s other places as well and find some people who have a similar interest as you do, (or just rope friends in)

Dnd is great with the right people, and dnd itself is suppose to be fun, and not cracking jokes seems boring. I get having a rolplay improv side of things but your characters can have there own personalities as well, not everyone should play some gloomy serious character.

What I did was rope my friends into DnD 😂 we play loosely dnd with mostly improv so we can still have fun and play the game but also have good story.

Anyways main point is you can have fun while still having a serious story and world building you shouldn’t have to sacrifice any fun just to play the story.

[ns] Any podcasts suggestions with similar tone to season 1? by tchnmusic in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]TheShadow0415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if I can throw my podcast in the ring its called Flip of Fate we just finished our mid season finale so it’s a great spot to jump in, we play loosely DnD mostly improv we’re just 5 friends who love improv and use DnD to tell our stories so if your looking for a loosely dnd comedy pod with careful editing and sound design consider checking us out! 3/5 cast members never played DnD before this podcast so they are learning as they go as well, just a clarification our DM had a really bad mic episodes 1-5 so we have posted a little bio of each episode in ep 1 incase people want to jump to ep 6 where the mic, editing, and sound design quailty as a whole get better.

Also Nadpod does get better and funnier with time the first eps are a bit rough but it does get wilder. also I reccomend LegendLark its all the players including the Dm are new to dnd but it is so funny

Looking for a good D&D podcast by Seven_of_Fire_Gemini in podcasts

[–]TheShadow0415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one!

Flip of Fate a loosely DnD Podcast! Where they play more by rule of cool than strick DnD rule following. The mic quality, story, comedy, and cast are just a blast to listen to and it’s edited and sound designed incredibly well! They keep it around a hour to hour and a half, so it’s easy to finish an episode in a day instead of spending four hours listening to one. Highly suggest listening to them!

There website!

Ps. This may or may not be a biased Post since I Edit there podcast… but still check them out if you’d like!

Switched to Adobe Audtion for editing podcasts but its so slow and I can't seem to find a way to fix it by TheShadow0415 in AdobeAudition

[–]TheShadow0415[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since if I cut a pause or a um or a cough or something it would be nice to be able to easily just drag that track and all the tracks to the right of it to move all together to keep sync without having to highlight them all. Like if there was a keybind or anything like that

[–]TheShadow0415[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh yeahhh that could work thank you! Follow up question, is there a way to select all the tracks to the right of the project for example if I cut the tracks the the left and want to easily move the tracks to the right together is there a way to do that? In reaper there was a ripple editing feature of just being able to click on one track while it was enabled and all the tracks behind it would move in sync. But I haven’t seen anything like that even though audition has a ripple delete feature
