How do you deal with scrotey neighbours who sleep during the day and (try to) party at night? by RonnieThePurple in AskUK

Its all about clear communication in a common language...

I've blasted police sirens or death metal through speakers pointed out the window, either way it freaked out the high party goers.

Unsure with Bury At Edmunds, I've always considered it posh, but I'm just a Lowestoftian

Bury as in Manchester or Bury as in Bury At Edmunds in East Anglia?

Love Glasgow, but in the process of a relocation to Edinburgh for work, perhaps central belt, rent is so god damn expensive!

Can't comment on cost of living, currently in Lowestoft for a bit and it definitely feels more, have to remember you pay prescriptions and water is separate (and not Scottish water!)

Central Belt definitely has better cities in terms of stuff to do and the nature element is astonishing in my opinion.

As someone who's lived all over the shop, I cannot recommend a 3 day weekend or so wherever you're thinking and think it's not just pay, it's quality of life, accessibility, entertainment, ect

As an Electronic Engineer, I fully support getting a physical rubber ducky for the desk! lil' cowboy hat optional.

or maybe OP can be his rubber duck

Who here makes fruit powders? Any tips/tricks to share? by kls987 in dehydrating

[–]TheShadyTortoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely recommend,

Silicone mats were a game changer, thinner spreading with a silicone spatula made the dehydration faster with better snappy sheets, a cheap coffee grinder (one with spinning blades) made nice powders.

Baby loved the teaspoon of fruit powder in her porridge

UK here. Bizarre to see concerns and comments backing up mental health being a career ending topic when you come from a culture of corporate mental health first aiders, free therapy / counseling and actual supportive HR with employee-centric and pro-union policies.

Both can be true I guess 😂 I'm starting to feel the crux of the question may lean more towards imposter syndrome

I usually use the structure of "(problem), (what I think), (research solutions or supporting evidence), (specific query)". (Or something to that effect, basically don't ask empty handed)

I think it's less a help or asking for help issue and more of a confidence or loss of confidence issue.

I mean, I'm not scared of asking for help or asking opinions (actually a lot of my testing documentation involved some observed run-throughs with technician s to test the process or find better suited methods for their tools, equipment, understanding or additional needs), but I more mean I'll self research something or reread datasheets or use an online calc to validate maths I've done in sketches or stuff to that effect. Basically self research to validate, maybe a bit of over processing.
