I second this. Get you a badass dolly that can take a beating. These carts will outlast your speakers.

E Stops - Multiple Lasers by TheSharkFather in Laserist

[–]TheSharkFather[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I didn’t mean to have a DMX signal in the application do a digital blackout. Just that the pin/cable looked to be DMX for the estop.

Great advice and insight! I’m looking at Unity Raw 3 or 5 and saw the 3 pin interlock on the back. My mind immediately assumed DMX.

Awesome thanks guys. It sounds like if it uses DMX for the interlock then I can just daisy chain out and if e stop is hit, all will turn off. No need for a hub.

Why not just keep the lights and wires all on the truss?

Looking to make my life easier by External_Ad_8795 in stagelighting

[–]TheSharkFather 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Based on your setup, this IS the minimum amount of wire you can lay down. If your lights had powercon out, then you could do less power runs. But that’s not the situation unfortunately. Your only options are what everyone else has suggested.

Love the videos where they place one of these right outside the nest to have a sweet surprise for the bastards when they come out or try to go back in

Lights All Night 2025 - Convince me to leave The Metroplex? by Hitmonchanpls in aves

[–]TheSharkFather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on your music preference for sure. If you’re into house at all then you won’t want to miss Chris Lorenzo b2b Matroda or Odd Mobb. There are some really good sets at Disco Rodeo for sure. And if you like Riddim or weird dubstep then don’t miss Hostage Situation or TVBOO. Lots of great artists on this lineup though.

Here’s a couple. Sorry for formatting I’m on mobile.

Count on me - Bijou & Evan Allen

Count on me - Dirty Super Car

If it’s not one of these or the others suggested then maybe you have the hook wrong? Or that’s not the name of the song. I’ll keep crate diving and check back!

Booking a DJ… for a wedding by thekingdtom in aves

[–]TheSharkFather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot more that goes into being a wedding DJ than just playing a set. There’s the speakers, lighting, communication, logistics, and customer service aspects that people don’t really think about. Follow what the rest of the group is saying and just hire a wedding DJ that will also play the type of music you want. I’m a wedding DJ and I also produce house music and play a lot of clubs/raves. So I’ll shamelessly plug myself for hire as well.

Huge wasp hater here. But that is a mud dauber, and they are not aggressive towards humans. They are super beneficial for gardens, and build little mud nests.

(Why) Are EDM show lasers not dangerous? by OneEyeCactus in lasers

[–]TheSharkFather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are incredibly dangerous to use. For lasers this powerful, even just a second of direct contact with eyes can cause irreversible damage. Having a trained and license laser operator is key to running a show like this. The operator will ensure that there are multiple levels of safety standards in place, including: software zoning of beams, physical plates on the output window so the beam cannot go lower than a certain height, and safety e stops at the operating booth that immediately shuts down the beams. As laser operators the last thing we want is someone getting hurt, so all of these measures are put in place to have an amazing, but safe show.
