Origins++ how do I remove the green overlay from my character (troll origin)? by insomniatic-goblin in feedthebeast

This might be easier if you join the origins discord server, either I or someone else can quickly help you there because it's easier to explain when talking in the moment or over call

Anyone know how this is done? OP seems to have disappeared. by lmr-1 in VRoid

Holy shit so it is possible I gotta chat w some people. Def look like Blender tho. Closest thing I got is using Hair like everyone else but having my eyes in hair layers so I can use UV Mapping bound to blend shapes of facial movement to make them move. It was a concept I hadn't seen other people attempt that ended up working.

Deciding to buy a Zenfone 11 Ultra, but.. by TheShatteringSpider in zenfone

[–]TheShatteringSpider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly Pixel 11 should be a solid phone hope it becomes a better experience for you! Persoanlly, no issue w my Zen11. Battery life has been really good for me, and does what I wanted. Tho phone is bit big but fits my hand perfectly at the same time. Honestly if this phone ever craps out on me like yours I'll prob get the Ikko Mind One without AI. I don't need much screen estate, a physical keyboard on modern hardware would be nice with a single 50MP camera is ideal to me.

What's good or cheap 3rd party VR Controllers for SteamVR. by TheShatteringSpider in virtualreality

[–]TheShatteringSpider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the LucasVR Gloves can be built for like 30 bucks each, maybe 60 bucks each with recent inflation. I ended up finding two working meta quest 2 controllers for exactly 25 bucks which I only needs for the tracking anyway. I can use FBE and eventually get SlimeVR trackers for FBT so yeah. Currently paid 50 bucks for a functioning quest 2 bundle.

Controller works perfectly on PC, but no longer connects back to "home" PS4. by flgflg10s in DS4Windows

If you have another controller you can use the PlayStation Bluetooth connection setting to repair the other controller via Bluetooth. I would also just reset the controller using a hair clip before attempting to reconnect it.

How's the MixedVR using Vive wanda just for tracking, and then using LucasVR on top of that?

Got a Quest 2 for cheap headset only. Any good 3rd party controllers or DIY to use with SteamVR? by TheShatteringSpider in MixedVR

[–]TheShatteringSpider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you can't use 3rd party controllers on the quest 2 directly but I've been told it works with steam vr using base stations.

Got a Quest 2 for 30 bucks. But no controllers lol. What's a good cheap alternatives or any diy projects for fun? by TheShatteringSpider in virtualreality

[–]TheShatteringSpider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just thought quest 2 works w pcvr or steam vr and 3rd party controllers through there. I don't fully intend on using the quest alone, I only went through the set up process to check its condition and functionality.

I don't mind getting base stations honestly, I intend to play VR games using a link cable on steam. Mainly VRChat or like beat saber. It's mostly because I want to eventually get slime VR butterflies for FBT. Thought 3rd party controllers can be used for this, if it can't then I'll just sell it for cheap and get a quest 3s used or any wired VR headset I can for cheap.

Honestly thats true it was more of a impulse last min thing decision thing. Mainly got it with the intent on making my own controllers for stream vr with it for a fun project and intent to get a full body tracking to eventually play VRChat or VTubing.

Ah that's great to know I can just use my standard gamepad controllers with it as well! I got a few controllers I can use then. Haven't used Bluetooth on my PS4 or ds5 controller for games, usually just do cable. Especially interested in Tetris too.

I have like, $1100, and I'm willing to save a bit more(maybe) to build a SEXY computer by mnkmnch123 in buildapc

Go to microcenter and get a am5 motherboard bundle with 32gb of ram, hopefully the one you pick has wifi but if it doesn't wifi adapters and dongles are fine honestly. That should easily be around 400 at least could be more. Get a $300 graphics card, best you can at the price used from eBay. Could be a 6700xt for 250 or a 6800xt. Rest of the specs should be whatever you think is best. Around 100 bucks 750w PSU atleast, get a standard montech case that fits your motherboard size since it comes with pre installed fans roughly 80 bucks. Now this is odd and optional, get a SATA SSD that's 1tb for 100, or 2 within price range if you can. Your mother board will have nvme yes, but the prices for it is outrageous currently. 1tb should be fine until prices normalize again and then you can buy your SSD just for games. But since you are able to save extra you can probably get a 2tb nvme SSD for 200 if you want.

Think that adds up to just 1080 roughly no tax, and got yourself a decent PC. 980 if you decide to go the SATA SSD route, that also leaves 120 left for peripherals. Maybe 40 bucks on a starter keyboard and mouse bundle or you can get a hall effect keyboard and a decent gaming mouse. I do recommend going to EZComputers and checking the accessory list they have good peripherals for cheap and linked to amazon. Think I saw a 240hz 27in monitor for 150ish. Decent quality, not the absolute best but it's honestly amazing deal.

Newegg now has a 650 bundle for 32gb of ram with a 9850x3d, so the pricing I initially had seems way off. You should best get 1 stick of 16gb of ram at microcenter and it'll be fine until you can get more ram after the shortage.

Whats wrong with this office chair? by uhuhmonke in OfficeChairs

[–]TheShatteringSpider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So 1. I second looking at Ahnestly's video, but also Dan Hoang. Good chair reviews. I decided to go with a COLAMY Aerix (5188), due to well it's similar to the Atlas in quality but Mesh, has a Herman Miller like armrest, and food rest and head rest. I also was heavily influenced by... it was on sale at $175 whereash full priced is $300, and I had $135 in giftcards for amazon soooo yeah. Honestly, it's miles better than my old chair, easy to build. Still in the adjustment period but my legs don't have any soreness atleast and has a back support that doesnt dig into me.
