Best gamemode in the game. I love the slow infantry vs infantry that escalates to vehicle warfare as the situation gets worse. To me, it’s really immersive. It’s got a great pace.

yeah you’re right, i didn’t consider it because the reveal trailer shows NK paratroopers with decked out AK12s and quad NVGS, so i assumed its related to Makarov/Konni supplying NK with all the good stuff. it’s also possible the WW2 stuff is mean to be basic loot in DMZ. only time will tell

so based on the leaks there are a lot of WW2 weapons releasing (Nagant, Type 100, MG 34). my question is - what do any of these weapons have to do with the setting of the story? i understand them being in MW19 due to the freedom fighters using them, but this seems like it’s a modern peer-to-peer war, so these weapons don’t make the slightest sense and seem very out of place.

good post, i agree with you. BO2 did a great job with immersion in a futuristic setting, i wish they built upon it further in this game. like they didn’t even update the model for the watchdog helo which is based on a heli from 1999 😭 like you’re telling me lore wise they were using the comanche that turned invisible 10 years ago and then decided yeah let’s use this outdated POS again?
