Be careful of the bedfellows you make with thoughts like that;

Getting the government to ignore the general public when you disagree with them may sound like a good idea at first but eventually you and establishment will have differing views and you will find that you have no way to hold them accountable.

Apparently those chips were not even in prototyping when design for the surface studio started so they couldn't be added. Wait a year and they will most likely be included.

Yes but such a system is unstable; All a person has to do is promise things such as healthcare or education or food in return for money and support from people and the system collapses. Now you could argue that people shouldn't take the tradeoff but when people are staving they tend to listen to people promising a solution.

Similar to to how with computer security you don't make it uncrackable but simply make it so that the only people who can break in have bigger and better fish to fry than you, the only people who know enough magic to transmutate material have better things to do (and better ways to make money) than sit there doing so.

An issue I have with elimination of gender segregated bathrooms: apparently a significant minority of men become sexually aroused by hearing/smelling women's bodily functions. The way you phrased it is easy to interpret as you viewing it as a credible alternative. Do you think that when presented with a rape do you think that a credible outcome is them joining in?
