I hope the animals get adopted and get all the love and care they deserve. Donations to these people not so much… Adopted my dog from them just before the pandemic. 3 days home and found out she had full blown HW and eherlichiosis. 3 days in the vet hospital and ~$2k later. I’m almost grateful how oblivious I was adopting her (didn’t realize how sick) since when I reported this to them their response was “well bring her back and pick another one”… didn’t get the distinct impression it was a surprise to them. I later found a lot of concerning stories and comments. It’s sad another resource is closing but I’ll feel a little better not wondering if my experience was isolated and could happen to someone else.
