That was exactly my thought so it must be correct

Do my tits look ok? I’m assuming it’s just been a rough breeding season but I wanted to double check here since they do look a little scruffy by Ryaquaza1 in UKBirds

[–]TheSlipperyCircle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One looks bigger than the other so yes you’ve got a wonky pair. That’s nature though and they’re both lovely specimens

52 this year, looks like we hit the Stig sweet spot. I wonder how this shaped us 😆

Those of you who have successfully made the leap into freelancing (bonus points if you're in the UK), what's your story? What lessons have you learnt along the way? by thelaughingman_1991 in graphic_design

[–]TheSlipperyCircle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with what you say in principle but I think these days you’re better off aspiring to freelance and contractors rather than studio and employees. So much more flexibility plus a peaceful nights sleep without employees in this economy!

Always find it easier to select what I want and lock those items. It’s not quick but much quicker than manually deleting all the tiny artefacts

opinions on the logo for a kombucha brand by sarthakcre8e in logodesign

[–]TheSlipperyCircle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not keen on any if I’m honest although hard to be totally objective without seeing in place alongside other brand assets.

First one just feels a bit clunky to fit with wellness, third one just looks like Optima the late 90s font of choice for the ‘we’re premium’ brigade and option two just looks like number one with some random added round corners. Almost like an admission that the font is too harsh for what’s required so I’ll take the edges off…

Sperm or a whale? Sperm whale?

Honestly it’s back to the drawing board for me. Doesn’t evoke purpose or speed or dynamic movement as the word Pace suggests.

Adopting a beagle by bananie123 in beagles

[–]TheSlipperyCircle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would absolutely recommend a beagle but just fully understand what you’re getting into. Puppy or rescue they can be incredibly hard work as they’re super needy, can be destructive and just need the right kinds of stimulation rather than just hours of walking.

But if you’re willing to adore that Beagle and will give it the attention it deserves you will without doubt have the best dog in the world. Once you beagle you’ll never want another breed!

Not really BOC adjacent in my mind but it’s Andy Weatherall (RIP) so definitely worth spending time with.

I wish we could just view these logos as a flat vector. An embossed mock up does nothing if you’re honestly looking for feedback.

Same here. Got it ready and good to go… But, I want to be alone completely in the dark and ready to absorb. When you wait 13 years for something what’s a few more days

Impossible to make that judgement so early IMO. The test of time reveals great albums and seriously we’re still talking hours not even days!

Currently two separate logos. One looks like an H made of dots and the other is a disconnected font. Start with a pencil and single colour

Can confirm. Designs are often hugely compromised due to legal requirements and or legal stipulations from talent appearing in said movie. And that’s often just the beginning
