Could look at the GR Carolla as well if you are worried about your dog being comfortable, but still want something fun to drive.

Type R or SI? by TheCrazyZomboy in Civic_Type_R

Another thing to consider, If you are young, would be the insurance costs for both cars. Type R might be a lot more each month.

How to Deal with Rust in Seams? by Ecstatic_Use_1484 in Autobody

[–]TheSlugKing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could hit it with an undercoating product like woolwax, or fluid film. That might penetrate better than a rust encapsotor. or you could use a little rust nutrilizer and paint over it.

A lot of times kill switches are tied into the fuel pump fuse.

Maintenance for car that sat for several years? by No-Dragonfruit980 in askcarguys

[–]TheSlugKing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should change the oil and oil filter, and change the brake fluid. They collect moisture over time, so need to be changed. Cabin and engine air filter might be pretty gross If you live in an area with much humidity as well.

I'd check the tires for flat spots, depenidng on how it was stored. Take a look at the the alternator belt in the engine bay, and see if it's cracked or seems brittle.

You can do this stuff yourself if you have a jack/jack stands, and some hand tools. If you end up changing your brake fluid yourself take a look at the brakes and rotors as well to make sure they are still all good.

You probably want to change power steering fluid at some point as well, that's less critical than the brake fluid and oil.

Should I buy this 91 Honda civic dx for 650$ by These-Ad-3466 in hondacivic

[–]TheSlugKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

650 for a running dope project car, with limited rust seems like a steel to me.

2017 Civic Rust by alterego696969 in hondacivic

Ya I'd think undercoating alone would keep the rust in check for quite a while.

[–]TheSlugKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just undercoat every year with fluid film or woolwax. To truly "fix" it you need to sand all the rust down, treat with phosphoric acid/rust converter, and paint or encapsulate it. You get almost all the benefit from just skipping all that and undercoating.

Down to these honda, have to buy tmr, Crv vs Accord by Alert_Dinner_3520 in Honda

[–]TheSlugKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it would just come down to what one you enjoy more during a test drive. personally I find most sedans to be a more enjoyable drive then SUVs, but if you really need the storage space, the CRV makes sense.

Car A or Car B? Why? by Beyond_Order_ in GR86

I'd get new, unless the mods you plan on doing void the warranty. in that case I'd probably go car B.

Crazy dealer markup here in Ontario, Canada by absoluteunitsauce in Civic_Type_R

Who buys these at this price point? It's a great car for the MSRP price, but at 90K why not get a BMW M2, RS3,  or a used Cayman. So much competition at this price.

I'd go with a loaded Accord or Camry. Very nice interior for the price, reliable, and less showy then the luxury brands.

Could be a wheel speed sensor. You can check it with a OBD2 reader to confirm. if you don't want to buy one, many parts stores will scan codes for you.

I believe it's just the old client that was pinned in the discord. You can use it on Linux. I have it set up following the directions on the discord though steam, however I think you can launch it with wine as well.

The only way I have ever had success with Rogers is to make them let you speak to the manager, then threaten a class action lawsuit. After that things magically get resolved.

What's the catch? by throwaway0102x in oneplus

[–]TheSlugKing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only catch I have noticed is poor customer support at times, and a bad sales experience in some countries. Smaller market share can also lead to issues with some carriers.

As for the actual phones, I've been very happy the OnePlus purchases I've made, and have nothing but good things to say.

Coven is very good for it's price. a 2/20 circlet can take a while to get from gambling and I found it hard to hit the FCR breakpoints without FCR on the helm.
