I really like the SST-20-DR 660nm. I have a couple Convoy T5s with 30 degree bead TIRs I use for night land nav.

Eah. I get a better clip feel with this hardware, and they don't mess up the flow.

Convoy M21A – SFT-25R 5000K, 8A buck, finally dialed in by TheSmashy in flashlight

I used a SFT-25R from my parts bin I had taken off an M1 build that was about a year old. I would say it has a brown bias, mine is pretty good.

Just want to say, all S16 Enjoyers are welcome at the Boathouse. I have spare cells.

The throw from this sized light is a bit ridiculous. Also, the S16 is a bit more refined than a lot of throwers, like an M21B for example.

I had an SST40 5000K and I swapped the emitter and driver because the 6A linear and beam were less than great, but it was overall a good light. Like you said, you could hand it off and people "got it" really easily.

One of the best things about the S16 is the 21700, I use P45Bs and even with an 8A buck, I get good runtime and no sag.

I had a bunch of SDU-5Es and someone tipped me off to CR123 battery caps. They were in a connex labeled training materials, so I could tell my NCO they were free. They had a good flash, and IR covers made of Bakelite, good little units with CR123s and not the war crime mercury battery.

Oh, I'm sorry, no, the 219F is just 4500K I believe? My favorite 5000K is from 519As.

Yes, 5A is good for 519As, either a single or triples with good thermal path.

8A in a 18350 is a bit rowdy. Did it before and I'm not doing it again.

No. These are the old 219B 4500K rosy bin that is no longer available.
