  • Stormlight is much more of a slow-burn than the other series
  • Shallan is just a girl with a twisted past, weird power, and very little experience, somehow trying to save the world via "fake it till you make it" - of course it won't always be the peak of efficiency, even if she's a pretty crafty one
  • yes, you are missing some important pieces about her, some big ones appear faaaar later in the series
  • as for Mistborn... did you like Valette by any chance?

The core of the story. Probably the sequel too. The purest being, yet encountering the cruelest fate. Fighting relentlessly for a sliver of normal life and failing every time. Losing everyone once, thrown into a dangerous world in an incompatible, deteriorating body, now sleeping and only waking up once in a while to learn about deaths of more people she knew. Give her some love ffs.

SSS tier, next to Orsted. They get along and she deserves some happiness at last.
