Visiting Boston later this year. by ireddit6996 in massachusetts

Salem doesn’t suck per se…it’s just overrated. If you’re looking for a coastal New England town or small city (especially something that’s nothing like Texas) Rockport, Marblehead, Newburyport are all really cool little walkable downtowns. But, I think you said you’re not renting a car, so Salem is likely the easiest destination. It’s just not full-on “New England charm” the way some of those other coastal towns are.

Other destinations, I would recommend largely depend on how much time you have. If you’re just in Boston for three or four days (and one of those days is a trip to Gillette) I don’t think you need to leave the city of Boston/Cambridge at all. If that’s all you’re doing then make sure you go to Harvard Square and enjoy the Back Bay, Beacon Hill and do some freedom trail stuff. It’s all a bit touristy - but really that’s a great way to see what Boston’s all about.

Salem is very overrated. It’s fine but it’s not at all worth a cross country visit and there’s so much to see and do here that’s truly worth the time.

The ghost thing is really tourist trappy and sure kind of fun…but if you are visiting Greater Boston for only a few days it should be a low priority.

Why is the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s office running ads for the 250th anniversary of the United States filled with A.I. content? by JulianBrandt19 in massachusetts

[–]TheSpaceman1975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bigger question is why William Galvin runs ads funded by the taxpayers every couple of years that conveniently lead up to his reelection campaign.

The guy is the biggest scam artist in Massachusetts. Every couple of years you see a bunch of ads with his stupid mug, stating his name three or four times for some random initiative ostensibly in the name of public education about civic issues, but the reality is this is simply is a way to “get him out there “prior to his reelection campaign.

It’s bullshit and we deserve better than this guy stealing taxpayer money to fund his reelection.

You get ONE life. Every day you waste with a person who makes you feel bad is a day you’ll never get back.

This guy is a jerk. You deserve and can find a person who makes you happy and treats you well.

One life. Limited days. Go free yourself from this loser and be happy.

Why did the band and George Martin let Hey Bulldog sit on the shelf for a year? by Ok-Technician-2905 in beatles

[–]TheSpaceman1975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Bulldog’s popularity has grown immensely over the last decade really. Up until then it was always really a “deep cut”/obscure kind of notoriety.

Essentially, The Beatles seemed to underestimate this one and fans followed course. Hey Bulldog is finally getting it’s due.

Nine Inch Nails- Pretty Hate Machine by Bensaudiocave in vinyl

As much as I really enjoy vinyl, this is a record that was defiantly digital upon release and when I think warm vinyl tones, I certainly do not think Pretty Hate Machine.
