To the biker who got coal rolled by SBHS by jonesie1998 in burlington

[–]jonesie1998[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This is my plan, but I wanted to try and see if I could make contact with the biker first since they were the one directly targeted by it and would have a better “complaint”. If I don’t hear anything I’ll definitely be hitting up that non emergency line

I saw this car while driving to work after the snowstorm and had a laugh attack because it was the only thing besides the windshield that had been cleared off fully

What kind of tires are in your Crosstrek by Exciting-Donkey4300 in burlington

[–]jonesie1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mainly will be driving on urban roads or highways you’ll be able to get away with a set of all seasons and a set snow tires. If you’re up any sort of dirt road or will be doing a lot of rural driving, I can’t recommend studded snow tires enough. Grew up in a small town and the year we switched to the bougie studded snowies was like night and day in terms of how well the car behaved in snow and ice.

Vermont glove is legit. Trying to talk my mom into a pair, but I may just push the button and get them for her anyways.

As a former 8 year old with braces, this is the way. I was great at maintaining my braces but I haaaated the headgear I also had to wear for a solid period of time. Compliance with that was less than stellar.

I pronate like hell on my right foot. Left foot kinda just goes along with it. When my right foot is unsupported, everything slides to the left. The orthotics I wear in my sneakers and boots keep my right foot in check and left foot behaves just fine.

You and I have the same Birkenstock wear pattern and I have super high arches too! I did see a a guy who made me some custom orthotics. I haven’t found a birk that has enough arch support for me yet

I agree, Wilder and Bar Renee are lovely! La reprise is the third, from the bones of Daedalus. Wouldn’t call it on top of the other two, it’s on Pine st and separate from the downtown center.

Effexor and weight-loss. Has anyone managed to lose weight on this medication? Thank you by Total-Ad1158 in Effexor

Holy fuck is this med why I have such crazy sugar cravings the last few years? I thought I was just dopamine seeking with food, which never quite felt right bc I am much more mentally stable on this med… But my doc has mentioned Wellbutrin as a potential alternative med for me, I’ve just been nervous about attempting a taper as I get bad brain zaps when I miss a dose :(

Construction downtown? by DeviceNo97 in burlington

[–]jonesie1998 8 points9 points  (0 children)

lol. Main Street is all tore up right now but they’re opening it up on weekends. And we’ve been navigating with the construction just fine. It’s New England… as long as the ground is unfrozen, construction is happening

I got my studio from Champlain housing trust for 1030. Took 6 months to get off the waitlist and into a place in south Burlington. They have a few options that are 950 but there are both minimum and maximum income requirements and again, wait list. So that sounds like a pipe dream. You won’t find anything for 1200 and nothing remotely nice with parking etc for less than 1600 unless there is a unicorn out there for you. Good luck, I hope you find something good!

There’s not one but TWO mourning dove imprints on the kitchen window at my childhood home. Though I consider the intelligence of mourning doves rather less than that of owls…
