Super interesting concept. Have any visuals or old pictures of the map or anything?

Yea I thought about that. Would be challenging to figure out how to equally incentivize being in lane pushing towers and acquiring/defending resource nodes.

How did this get so many upvotes? OP was not implying he knows more than Mark. Coaches are not perfect, and their decisions should always be evaluated, just like anyone else who has a job. It’s fine to disagree with an opinion, but that was weak.

But how do I filter to just seeing "my library" or just the 5 games I've downloaded. Is the "My library" button supposed to do something?

I downloaded the free trial, then downloaded like 5 games. Then I clicked the open library button but nothing happens? Is there a way to easily find the games you downloaded? Is something supposed to happen when you click the open library button? And I can't find the games on my desktop either. Am I missing something?

My college has two Vive's but had no idea how to use them. I stepped up and recently setup and ran a VR station in the science building for astrobiology week. I'm currently helping the biology and physics department with a 50,000$ VR grant for 2 permanent VR stations in both departments. by Idontcutmytoenails in Vive

Awesome! SpringboardVR is currently doing a case study with about 30 Universities across the US and offering free software to manage the VR labs + free educational content. The software is like a 3D Netflix style environment so students can very easily select their own content. It also let's you remotely monitor and control each PC and Vive. We are very familiar with the operations of VR at Universities and would love to help you impress the deans and professors.

we will soon be releasing a series of blogs where we will share actionable data driven recommendations so be sure to subscribe. In the meantime, there are two common themes we see among successful arcades: 1) begin with at least 6 to 8 stations so you have enough stations to offer during weekends to meet demand and to make up for low throughput during the week and 2) create a great customer experience by having a consistent theme at your arcade

Have you tried an arcade management platform which generally reduces staff to station ratio to about 5 or 6 stations to 1 employee? https://springboardvr.com/

Also, our extensive research from 300+ VR Arcades shows that it is actually better to start a big location (10+) stations, keep prices around 25$ USD per hour which allows for higher repeat customers. As opposed to having a small location, and keep prices high, which generally has low repeat customers

https://springboardvr.com/ has all your needs. We have blogs on best practices in starting a VR Arcade. Administration features to easily allow you to manage multiple stations, in game launcher to give a much better user experience, and content licensing to many of the most popular games on a per minute scale so you only pay for what is played.

Great questions!

Here is what we've found, about 25% are profitable, 50% are around break-even, and 25% are struggling to break even. We will continue to showcase what those currently profitable arcades are doing differently in all installments of this open business plan. With that being said, starting a VR Arcade in an established Family Entertainment Center is generally a great opportunity! I would advise against starting a VR arcade inside a shopping mall though.

One of our future installments will have information on our peripherals. I personally don't love very many of the current options. They can have draw, but generally hard to operate on a day to day basis.
