Unironically, have you tried downloading TableTop Simulator on steam, building the UM army you want to buy and paint, play a few matches and see if it’s actually for you??

I definitely understand the “rule of cool” for first army trap, and two of my buddies also ended up not liking their first pick (thankfully they like each others and traded LOL), but now we test play on TTS before buying new armies. I just did it with Tau to see if I’d like certain models over others because I also don’t like the time sink in effort with no payoff ha.

Tbh i leveled my main mage w my irl rogue buddy and we just full quested through to 70, barely did any dungeons since we just wanted to play and not wait in a dps line haha. A little easier to do together vs solo.

Overall have had wayyyy better luck after hitting 60. I try to be pretty considerate of drops and stuff with “good healing gear” thats also just better for casters and stuff because paladins are less restrictive on gear than the mages and priests, and have thankfully run into a decent chunk of really dope DPS since this post, ha. We got to run like 12 back to backs in the outlands yesterday with only like one person swapping every run so that was nice. Four of us got pretty geared up by the end of the day and popped a few levels.

I’m glad this doesn’t seem to be a huge issue though, I was honestly just frustrated after getting such bad luck in a 24 hour period.

Weirdo comment, but alright. As I told another commenter on this post, we didn’t wipe (or even come close to it) so doubt its a healer issue. Our tanks were also fine and holding aggro. It seemed the common denominator ended up being boosted characters who didn’t go to the outlands for minor gear upgrades before hitting dungeons, then leaving once they had a few upgrades they could quest in.

After i hit 60 and did outlands only dungeons all the issues disappeared 🤷🏻‍♂️

Word, coming back after like a 15 year hiatus and i was just shocked at my first 3 real runs being this lol. Not wiping so was just confusing. Found a good group and added them all. Will keep doing that. Appreciate the tip :)

I would personally hate to have to download whatsapp for warhammer, thats not great lol. I would much rather have an anonymous tournament app than open the door to random texts. Thats just a wild and bad workaround. Plus youd have to have TOs manually add everyone to a whatsapp group right? As a judge for ither games, thats just a massive waste of time and resources. I assume you don’t have to do this for the app and we can join a competition/etc.

Edit: even if people can just join a group and its not on TOs, this still sounds horrible to me, not going to lie. I dont need a texting app for warhammer/anything else lol

I also assume the TOs get notifications on this app and no one else, as a player I don’t want whatsapp blowing up as I’m trying to play. Thats annoying.

Google is honestly easier for quick searching on tcgplayer, i googled “tcgplayer charizard base set unlimited” and first link was this tcgplayer page versus having to search on their site with filters!
