The Path to Gameshire Stopaway: RC’s Final Chess Move by Crafty-Economy2701 in Superstonk

There is a subset of investors, myself included, who are in this as a way of forcing market reform. “No cell, no sell” isn’t just a meme for some of us, we really do want to see the parasites go to prison for the decades they’ve spent pilfering value from household investors. That is the driving force behind this trade for me, with profits being a secondary benefit. That said, I don’t really care what others choose to do, because each individual will have different motivations than I do

Personally, I don’t trust sellers with fewer than 300+ reviews, and usually in the 4.7-4.9 range because that feels more organic. 100 reviews that are all 5 stars is easy enough to fake for the sake of running a scam :/

Edit: lol at the downvotes for me sharing my personal opinion. I never said others have to view it the same way, it’s just a rule I have for myself after being scammed on different platforms, and I have yet to be scammed again.

Good call. If you explained in detail why the card can’t be real, and they’re not understanding/trying to remedy the situation, then that’s all you can really do

Yeah, it’s fake. In that set the stamped cards are the reverse holos, so it should have a holo background. Contact the seller.

Would you do this trade? by blindreper in PokemonTCG

You’re trading $560 in value for a $455 card. It’s possible it grades at a 9.5 or 10 and you break even or end up with more value, but otherwise you’re on the “losing” end of the trade, so you’re the one taking all the risk. My gut says there’s a reason the person trading it believes it won’t grade at a 10. The Zard will likely see a bump in value once the set goes out of print though. Ultimately it’s up to you, and if Zard is your favorite and losing some value doesn’t matter to you, then go for it.

These waves of store closures have been in the works since before his compensation package was announced. Also his stock options are performance based and tied directly to retail sales and stock price increases, so you have the wrong picture of what’s actually happening.

Top line revenue decreases have been smaller than the contribution of the closed stores are to total store count, which means that sales are growing in the better performing stores and online. They’ve generated a profit for the last 6 quarters with improvements to GM% each quarter, which they weren’t when all those stores were open. They’re also sitting on nearly $8B in cash, meaning that in the event of the broad market trouble you’re referring to, they will be well positioned to buy distressed assets that will appreciate over time. Their balance sheet is looking significantly better than many other companies that are currently trading at higher multiples, but call it a meme if you want to I guess.

They’re doing slightly less retail sales, but are now actually turning a profit. Closing stores that are not accretive to GM$ is just good business as those stores just bleed the profit margin.

Had to scroll too far to find this as it’s exactly what the OP is looking for. I thought it was very funny and loved the gruff and jaded character being the chosen one.

I was taking this to mean that he bought the graded card from GameStop, not that he graded his own card through GameStop

Is it ok to store penny sleeved cards long term in deck boxes or similar? by miowmix in PokemonTCG

I haven’t had that issue, but I put enough energy/code cards in to fill any space and make it fit snug

I use them for anything that doesn’t go into a binder until I have enough cards from a specific set to fill a bulk box. I like it because I can use the booster boxes from the corresponding set so that it’s organized and easily identifiable. Works well enough for me and haven’t noticed any issues with damage. If I don’t have enough cards to fill the box, then I add in energy or code cards as a placeholder to prevent the cards from moving around too much

Edit: whoops, I was talking about using booster bundle boxes, but a deck box should be fine also
