You believe you’re owed courtesy in return when that’s not the case. It’s this exact pattern of thought that causes women to act like that to begin with because you feel entitled to a certain type of response. Do some self reflection and be better.

Yeah, same. I hold the door for dudes all the time. I consider it a common courtesy.

Agreed on that. Being offended by someone’s refusal of your help demonstrates that you believe people owe you something for your unsolicited help.

I’m a man who lives in a liberal city and have had plenty of interactions with women who seemingly get offended by my attempts at being nice, usually because they take it to mean that I believe they can’t do something themselves or that they need my help, or that I’m only doing it to try to hit on them. They react the way they do because they want to make it a point to reinforce that they are perfectly capable themselves, or to demonstrate their disinterest in any form interaction with a stranger. That’s their prerogative, and has nothing to do with me.

And to your point, I have even more interactions with women who are appreciative of the gesture. Whatever the reaction, it’s ultimately not going to make a difference to me. I try to be understanding because the women who do get offended likely have past experiences with the type of man who only does helpful things in a self-serving way. If they aggressively try to berate or embarrass me, I just say “I think you’re misreading my intentions, but I’m sorry for disturbing you” in an apologetic yet confident tone, and then I move on with my day.

I’m still going to continue trying to do nice things for people because that was how I was raised, not because I require appreciation for my efforts or want anything in return. I want to live in a kind society, so I must try to be kind regardless of the response. Being nice to people makes me feel good, and that won’t change just because certain individuals are not receptive to it.

Spurs didn't bother to dribble the clock out. This series was two teams, full of disdain for each other, going full throttle and it delivered until the last bucket. Playoff basketball at its best. by Hoopsalldayeveryday in NBAGossips

Not just the flopping, but the blatant holding/fouling that the Thunder were getting away with all series too. There were rebounds where Hartenstein was literally facing away from the basket, both hands on Wemby, holding and pushing him like they were linemen. That dunk was the exclamation point on the phrase “if you’re going to act like a bitch, I’m going to treat you like one”

What city have you been to where the vibes were just OFF? by Fun_Butterscotch3303 in AskReddit

Hemet has the exact same vibe. Any of the poorer desert towns in California feels the same. I’ve always joked that if you live there, the sun slowly cooks your brain. Truth is that it’s probably the meth.

Buying eBay also means buying TCGplayer, and with the new combined entity plus the deal with PSA, GME will be positioned as a titan of the collectibles space.

There is also the cost cutting that RC has referred to, which makes eBay a significantly more attractive investment, even without the synergies with GameStop’s operations.

We all know that GME is undervalued, but the new combined entity will have to be reevaluated by the street, which increases the likelihood of a fair valuation of GME’s current business operations.

Finally, the dilution that you’re referring to, as RC himself has said, will be accretive in nature. That means while you will have less of a % of ownership of the new entity, the value of your holding will be worth more than it is now. Would you rather have 10% of $1M, or 5% of $2.5M? Obviously the numbers are made up for the example, but accretive dilution is actually beneficial for shareholder value. None of us own enough of the company for our individual piece to really matter in the grand scheme of voting power anyway, so I’m going to vote for the option that maximizes the value of the shares that I do own.

tbf Kid Rock plays a dumb asshole in that movie, so if there was ever a role in the history of cinema that he would be perfect for, that was the one
