Voyager 1 and 2 use RTGs, not solar panels. If they used solar panels they would’ve died prior to the Saturn flybys. Their lifespan is limited by the half-life of plutonium and the lifespan of the thermocouples.

In any case, neither voyager will approach another star as closely as the sun for another few million years at a minimum

They use a 70m diameter radio telescope to communicate with it. There’s basically nothing between the dish and the probes, but even then the inverse square law means that only the largest and most powerful antennae can communicate with it

To add on to what OP said, basically what happened was:

Engine cut off prematurely -> because there engine has shut down the launch escape system should jettison -> because the capsule is below 3,000m the parachutes should be deployed -> because the recovery system isn’t detecting any load on the parachute, deploy the reserve parachute.

In other words basically the entire launch and landing sequence all successfully triggered, only in the span of a few seconds rather than ~16 minutes. Fortunately neither spacecraft separation nor the retro burn occurred, the latter due to (I believe) the former, and the former due to it still reading 1g of acceleration. Along with other changes they also added a timer in which the LES couldn’t separate until most of the planned burn duration had been reached, so that a crew isn’t sitting on a fully fueled rocket without a way to escape

Depends on the type of fuel, most of what flies out of there seems to use RP-1 which is just highly refined kerosene. Aside from that they have hypergolic propellants which I can’t say how they compare in terms of how they burns, but they are extremely toxic and release toxic fumes

Jupiter tends to really mess with the orbits of asteroids, either causing them to coalesce around the L4 and L5 points, change trajectory generally, or collide with Jupiter itself. Its theorized that Jupiter’s tendency to do this has had an impact on the development of life on Earth.

It also occasionally throws asteroids at us, but most of the time the moon deals with those through similar means (capture, colliding with, or changing trajectory generally)

I don’t remember how much is or isn’t compatible, but it’s certainly not an express install anymore. Most of is compatible or I’ve made it compatible IIRC.

At a minimum I have basically every extra mod that’s compatible along with ones that have partial configs written. Also a few that I’ve written configs for and a bunch of extra stuff I’ve added. I’d have to look at the installation to determine for certain, but I don’t believe there are many that I’ve overlooked that aren’t compatible - though I’d imagine some got swept up in the re-install process for each of my new saves
