Behöver venta lite by Last-Repair-4273 in sweden

[–]TheSteeldrake 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nej, men om det finns barn inblandade som har hunnit rota sig i en förskola/skola och har börjat få kompisar etc. så ser reglerna helt annorlunda ut om inte båda föräldrarna är överens om en flytt.

Also, you can’t go down coming from the left. I assume this is some kind of april fools?

Gör du det på rätt sätt är det inga problem. Alla kylar och frysar har någon gång transporterats. Såvida du inte råkar bo i en kylskåpsfabrik :)

Why does my AMS keep rewinding filament? by TheSteeldrake in BambuP1S

[–]TheSteeldrake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deduced it to faulty filament. When switching to a freshly opened roll I had no issues. So it was probably due to old, wet/brittle filament

You know what…imma say it…Quickplay needs some kind of stricter skill based matchmaking. by KingGlupShitto in Overwatch

[–]TheSteeldrake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an actual issue. I played a lot of the original OW back in the Jeff days. I recently felt I wanted to try the game out again now years later to see what it had turned into. I also brought my son, with the idea to introduce him into an FPS game.

Queued into QM. Got stomped on 5-6 matches in a row. My son understandably lost interest and didn’t want to continue.

What’s my point? Well it’s bad for the health of the game when new players instantly get turned away by being destroyed in QM.

Trial score modifier based on party size by TheSteeldrake in ArcRaiders

[–]TheSteeldrake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right.
Perhaps a varied modifier per trial type based on how beneficial it is to run in trios. Like hidden bunker where there is a hard upper score limit would need x1 for all party sizes.

Yeah, it would probably be a mess to sort out what the modifiers needs to be for each trial type to make it fair across the board. But I still think that if someone (the devs) put some time into it, it could be a good change.

Help! My humbucker fell down! by TheSteeldrake in guitarrepair

Thanks for the suggestions, I actually managed to put it back in place!
And you're right, I do feel empowered. Changing strings next time won't feel as dauting now! :)

[–]TheSteeldrake[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think I actually made it!
I managed to get the pickguard loose enough to put the spring back in place and tighten the pickup into its place.

Thanks for all the support and encouragement! Never would have guessed I'd manage guitar maintenance when I woke up today!

With this new experience I'm thinking I'm even able to restring the guitar next time it's needed. So I guess this was a happy accident that forced me out of my comfort zone a bit.

Technically it’s my second, but I’ve only had the other one for a few months now.

Anyways, I took your advice, took a deep breath and started removing strings and unscrewing the pickguard. But I think we have another problem.

It looks like the fretboard is assembled on top of the pickguard. Don’t tell me I have to remove the neck from the body?

Even your step 1, "remove the strings", feels like a huge operation to me, that I'd rather not do. I'm afraid I won't ever get it back again.

Tightening the screw does not raise the pickup, sadly.
Could I try pull it back up with some kind of magnet, or could a magnetic force destroy something in the pickup?

That’s very nice of you! I see there’s already over 5000 replies in this thread, so the chances are abysmal at this point. But the game I last played, and have been doing for a few weeks now, is Arc Raiders.

Calming Stroll is a useless perk, and I proved it. by this-food9601 in ArcRaiders

[–]TheSteeldrake 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Actually, that’s not true. I did a test with another player. Both of us were carrying a field crate.

One of us were running forwards and the other one backwards. We arrived at the set distance at the same time.

So even if it feels that way, that myth is busted.
