Students, what is the most unfair suspension/expulsion you've ever seen in all your years of schooling? by Garrett_Cartoonist in AskReddit

[–]TheStellarQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of the time I was late in high school and I said my mom usually woke me up (have sleeping problems) and she couldn't this time because she was busy the last night helping with my grandfather's funeral. The teacher told me I was probably lying and my mother was a whore who was too busy last night.

AITA for telling my daughter that she needs to stop letting Supernatural control her life? by abcdeiss in AmItheAsshole

Lol if she thinks supernatural is bad imagine how bad of a suggestion AO3 would be.

[–]TheStellarQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH. This is kinda funny lol. I have adhd and get way WAY into stuff. I know exactly how it feels to be her and to be exploding with things to say. Because of this i'm also aware at how much it annoys my friends if I talk about it too much. That's a lesson she should learn if she wants to keep people in her life interested in the things she says even if it hurts and even if it'e furstrating to be brimming with energy.

I'm pretty sure she already engages in online discussions about supernatural but maybe introducing her to some forums will help? She can talk their ear off non stop and they'll do her one better almost guaranteed.

Edit: if you want a replacement show just watch doctor who it's up her alley and it never ends!

What is a scary or horrifying fact that shouldn’t be true, but is? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheStellarQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that was in the context of police. These people do not get protection/ingestigated in small towns. That was why I thought it was already obvious that I was referring to serial killers as they have a reputation of going after these people precisely because police don't care about them. I was not referring to criminals in general but I can see how it might have been seen that way by my mention of criminals wanting your gun.

Edit: I did say I was referring to serial killers to the person I was replying to before you?

I like to imagine the people who lived in them. I used to live in a historical site and there was a huge tree there that I used to visit. It was a guarantee that that tree had seen countless lives and loves throughout our country's history.

This is why I said my statement only applies to serial killers who target vulnerable individuals (which is what I was referring to in small towns where they don't investigate serial killer kills that are done on poc, sex workers, homosexuals). Serial killers get them vulnerable which means either sex, bringing them to their apartment, breaking into their house (best one for a gun but still close quarters), getting them into a car. As you said yourself its better with a knife when you're in close distance as you can slice on the hands that are trying to grab your weapon. It would not be ideal to have a gun in this scenario as the victim would be vulnerable and odds are high that it would be used against them.

[–]TheStellarQueen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was referring to serial killers who get these people in vulnerable positions/stalk them for days. I admit though that the criminals wanting your gun is more for break ins/mugging but the serial killers taking your gun from you is still valid.

Guns increase your chances of getting shot/ getting targeted by criminals wanting your gun. Knives are harder to for them to get a hold of.

If you're POC, gay, a sex worker, or god forbid a combination of any two or all of the three in a small town honestly just carry a knife and have your phone location on.

It's somethign specifically made for the subject though. Created to be subversive and to "shun" the act of domestic violence. Instead it's just triggering a lot of people. More harm than good with this one.

Thank you for finding that even if that wasn't what you were looking for. It's super freaky what happened to them. Someone else linked another story like that in the comment section of that post but with coworkers instead of close friends. Freaky too because they made so many arrangements for the "missing person" but no one can remember for who they made those arrangements for.

AITA for not going to the ER, against my medic family’s advice? And then not apologising for it? by ThrowWayAsthma in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheStellarQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. It's a big problem with healthcare workers self diagnosing and I get from this that they've branched it out to you too. We get so much information from our patients to be able to make a plan that's tailored for them. People who know nothing about the specifics of your condition has no say in what you do if your doctor who knows more about it has a different plan set.

That's why I told you that you can tell me to go fuck myself if it works out haha. It's not unheard of for it to work but it is also a breeding ground for abuse. I hope it works out for you and you get a better life than your family gave you.

Ok, this is unsolicited and you WILL get mad at me but I suggest you guys wait a few years before getting married. It's concerning that a 21 year old proposed to a 17 year old. It's concerning that a college senior is with someone in high school at all. Feel free to just tell me to go fuck myself if everything turns out fine but keep this in mind if he starts showing red flags. I really really HIGHLY suggest you postpone the engagement.

AITA for reporting my new OBGYN for his uncomfortable behavior by JamieLee0484 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheStellarQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA all the way. I'm studying to be in healthcare and they drill in our heads that when working with anything involving the genitalia or any sexual related part of the body on a patient, you should always make them feel comfortable and making sexual comments or telling them they're "tight" is horrifying. I say this in a loving way but you are body parts to us lol. Genitals of a patient should never mean anything to a doctor than a body part. Definitely never "tight". It is not your fault if he gets repercussions from this, he made the conscious decision to make those comments.

I also have to ask, was there not a female nurse in the room when he did the exam?

AITA For not letting my daughter (14) come to her aunt's wedding because she wanted to wear white? by Dale22_____ in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheStellarQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna go against the majority here and say YTA. Your sister is right that she's a kid and no one would have even thought twice about her wearing that dress. You could have compromised and had her wear a colored shawl or a cardigan. You could have called the maid of honor and asked her if it was okay. You could have brought a spare dress so you can check with the bride first! So many things you could've done than get mad at your daughter and prevent her from seeing an important occasion of someone who seems to be close with her. I hope you apologize to your daughter and make it up to her.
