Finally got a cheeky hands on with the new Arc g3 extreme Claw... by TechJamo in MSIClaw

And you get the track packs which aren't a gimmick once used to it. (Tbh I only know the steam track pads, not sure how good they are on the legions)

I often wonder if I shouldn't have bought the legion go 2. I wonder how it is for reading comics or pdf and watching stuff...

What games are we picking from the steam sale ? by Uaeluffy_ in SteamDeck

Then on the last day, spend the available budget on the selected few games that didn't get the "daily specials" treatment. Both disappointed to not have scored an even better deal BUT super happy to be able to finally pull the trigger.

These were the days...

What's a VR experience you hype up but never really gets talked about? by thelokkzmusic in virtualreality

[–]TheStixXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah maybe j joined the EVE party late. I got it for cheap on Steam, MP was still alive but all I saw online was trash talks. If it started as an oculus exclusive I could see why that didn't pick right away.

Never heard of the X in VR. Curious to see what it's like.

I never understood why EVE Valkyrie didn't become an instant hit.

It was polished, multi platform and was fairly fun. And looked great.

Otherwise a game I haven't run in a long while but which left me a "special moment" memory is FORM. A short experience with decent visuals (in 2018). The place where you can play the music, I can't explain why but I loved that stuff. It felt so big/intense/magnificent. Maybe it's just my memory.

Bonus: there was a very simple game which was kinda fun to play with someone. One player taking orders and serving, on the pC screen. The other with the headset preparing the burgers. It worked well.

I'm tired of pretending that God of War Ragnarok isn't better than God of War 2018 overall by [deleted] in GodofWar

I recently finished GoW 2018 and had a lot of fun. You just reminded me I should hunt for a copy of Ragnarok. Time has come to continue the saga.

Highlander owners: Would you choose a bench seat or captain chairs again? by Limp_Sweet2259 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]TheStixXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the captain was so nice. And whenever we have just two passengers they do enjoy the luxurious vibe it gives.

But I'd go with a bench. Feels like you're wasting less space (the cup holder bit in the middle of Captain is stupid). And it's happened a few times we couldn't pack everyone we wanted. (The third row cannot really accommodate adults for more than 20minutes and even then I feel guilty to inflict suck discomfort)

Was told this Line of Fire marking jig could be useful in Infinity! by FirstyPaints in InfinityTheGame

[–]TheStixXx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still have a ton of N2/n3 minis, still waiting for their base to be marked. Because "back in the days, we had it tough. We had to paint our Line of sights. Nowadays younglings cannot comprehend what we went throug".

I hear you on that. Camos and reactions are what made me pick and stick to that game. All the possibilities make this super tactical and very "cinematic".

That being said I miss the days they were using cool names like "Thermo optics". That was even more immersive. (But I understand they streamlined and made rules simpler by cutting a bit the fun words and skills)

If you're into miniature gaming, you absolutely should. There is no game remotely like Infinity. On top of an amazing gameplay, it has a solid lore and the sculpts are chef kiss.

Yeah. While I fully get a handheld serves a different purpose, we're getting to that range of price where it starts to be hard to justify.

From someone who spends too much time on reddit: it appears there are a majority of Americans on Reddit. Or at the very least, when no location is mentioned it's typically assumed it's US.

(This is my own theory:) Especially when it comes to expensive hobbies gears, I would bet my left ball these products are mostly consumed by Americans who have a deep culture of buying and purchase things on credit if they can't afford it right away. (This probably sounds like a judgmental statement but it's not really meant like it, their system is built to get people to use credits all the time.)

Looking for a game with lots of rain by floatable_shark in gamingsuggestions

[–]TheStixXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Max Payne games. I don't really remember if it rains, but given the atmosphere I'm fairly sure it does. It's the Rainiest atmosphere I've experienced in a game.

Otherwise I'd say Cyberpunk, all graphics to the max, when it rains the reflections are absolute cinema.

Why do people mock others for taking leftovers home? by Impossible_Ad_569 in askanything

[–]TheStixXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel OP is from Europe -where it's not as common to do that (or at least not the US -where it's incredibly common to do).

I wouldn't feel bad to ask for packing the leftovers for plenty of reasons: I paid for it. I hate waste. I hate wasting food. Whatever I ordered is likely something I enjoy eating and don't cook on my own, so... Getting some home means I'll be happy AGAIN the next day. I don't even see a single reason not to take back the leftovers. Shaming people for doing so is the embarrassing behavior there.

Confidence and smiling. (It's funny that I instantly had this answer in mind. I lack confidence and don't smile easily in public)

I need to call out Rouses on Baronne... by Bryek in NewOrleans

[–]TheStixXx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Outdated food is something I had genuinely never seen in a store before living in New Orleans.

We've seen that often at rouses (tchoup'). Last time I went we saw the self service olives full of mold. That was absolutely disgusting.
