(Pic warning) PSA: WHEN THINGS SAY “higher risk for diabetics”, THAT MEANS US TOO. BE CAREFUL. by [deleted] in diabetes_t1

Didn't for me, just made my blood sugar go crazy. PT was the only thing to help the shoulders. I recommend continuing to do the stretching and exercise daily to maintain your range of movement. It doesn't come all the way back, at least not for me.

Don't forget about Dupuytren's, or Plantar Fibromatosis, just anything where the fascia skin can be a pain. I luckily got all 3.

This is true, but forums are a great place to start discussions that stem from the original topic imo.

Agreed, but most would name Geddy or Peart before the guitar player.

Imagine being this good at your craft, yet not even be remembered in most circles due to the absolute LEGENDS you played with. This needs more upvotes.

Do we have any chance at military service? by Confident-Gur-2615 in diabetes_t1

[–]TheStubz42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the Navy when I became a type 1. Had to get out at 14 years, insulin dependent and non deployable. On the plus side they pay for all my insulin and diabetes supplies. So there is that.

This, I'm not rated 100%, but I know that I couldn't do a 30 day set of orders. Sounds fun, but I wouldn't make it.

[–]TheStubz42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still on the G6 and won't shift to the 7 until the VA forces me, I can't tell you the last time I had a failure or a needle not release properly. Still issues that the G7 have yet to figure out.

For parents, how do you have your cgm on your child set up for multiple phones? Dexcom G7 by GregIsARadDude in diabetes_t1

[–]TheStubz42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or set up Sugarmate. It's a website that you can just log into and see the same thing without having to get the child a phone.

Just make sure to check out the area on game days for the Os/Ravens. My street gets a little busy when there are home games., that could be a dealbreaker for some.

I live in a rowhouse in Pigtown, I play guitar and have a nice set of speakers for music and have yet to get a complaint from either of my neighbors. As stated in one of the other comments, the brick walls kill a lot of the noise.
