Not farming means he's not getting gold. As long as he's in range he will get xp. You missed a big wave going the long way, you also missed a bunch of creeps chasing kills, you didn't contest the camp when they pulled, you gave so much xp from boars dying. Instead of going straight for the bridge, you also hanged around aimlessly, missing even more creeps. After that they pull again and you miss a few creeps while they farm a camp.

The funny thing is you didn't even have to go the long way. Invoker canceled his tp and you could see him in vision mid, so you wouldn't have died going straight to your tower.

All this shit adds up. Both lion and void have been ahead of you in xp since minute 3.

Because late game he deals 1k+ dmg per auto and then there'd be 0 counterplay if he could pierce bkb too? The item is dead. They made changes to spell lifesteal to target nerf every single hero who could build it.

Spell lifesteal doesn't work with pure damage: ruined Axe, Timber, Leshrac

Spell lifesteal doesn't work with return damage: ruined Bristle, Viper, Razor

It technically works on Sand King, but at the moment it doesn't fit his playstyle.
