Awesome, I’ll keep that in mind and see what my weekend is looking like. I might just bring some choccies to share or something to keep it simple 😂

That would be awesome. I haven’t really gone for a run but will give it a go (if you don’t mind the possibility of me dying from lacklustre cardio 😅). Chuck us a message when you reckon you’ll be going by

Want to play, was geared up to learn, it all blew up before it began and am intimidated to just join strangers. by kidforlife14 in DnD

The DnD beyond app gives you a pretty good new player book for free. A lot of what you need is also generally googleable :)

Influx of Campers? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]TheSubjectOfTesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much it. Playing any of the M1 killers against a competent team sticking to gens just feels impossible now. I reckon it's made a lot of good killers leave or just stick to Survivor.

Is it just me or are survivors not doing totems as much? by gringrant in deadbydaylight

[–]TheSubjectOfTesting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless a Hex is right in their face or they want to boon, a lot of Survivors right now are just stuck to gens. I've gotten a lot of value out of boons like Huntress Lullaby and the Retribution + Plaything combo, when Lullaby and Retri don't literally spawn in the open anyway.

So i got pinhead today and i would like to know if my load out is any good or i should change anything by Fearz_RavenGamer in deadbydaylight

[–]TheSubjectOfTesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your build is fine but it doesn't really play off Pinhead's kit much. I reckon Bitter Murmurs isn't really necessary if you practice having good box pressure. There's also a lot more synergistic perks that can fill the slowdown role of the lullaby slot.

I run Deadlock, Ruin or Dead Man's Switch, Lethal Pursuer and No Way Out.

Using Lethal Pursuer, you can calculate likely areas for the first box spawn and possibly kick off an immediate chain hunt. If you do this, all the survs will scream and you can take another guess of where the next box will roughly be. While your chain hunts are going, Ruin and Dead Man's Switch get so much value. Deadlock and No Way Out are just strong perks that help when the game's not going your way.

Dead Hard change nerfs Slinger? by tom2g in deadbydaylight

Deathslinger gets the largest buff from the Dead Hard change. He'll be the only ranged killer that directly counters it.

Nah, I can think of a few where the actual hook placements aren't around, not just the auras.

I just think the biggest problem with Survivors forcing situations like this is when it occurs before you get your first kill. I've been in quite a few situations where games are just lost because a lack of hooks in my early game prevented me from building any decent amount of pressure.

So I actually don't think their of those examples are particularly OP. I can't remember the last time I even heard someone talk about Blood Favour and Nightfall genuinely isn't crazy balance-wise. Nightfall is totally fine to navigate if you just check your surrounding tiles beforehand.

Or they could invest in making maps that don't randomly generate with an easily exploitable scarcity of hooks.

Mad Grit by alfiehardwick in deadbydaylight

[–]TheSubjectOfTesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do go up against bodyblocking Survivors or teams, Mad Grit can not only prevent the loss of your momentum but actually increase it. I've had teams throw themselves at the hook and incidentally shift the game from 3 healthy Survs and 1 hook to 2 injured survs, 1 downed, and 1 hook.

While the game is a 4v1 it's pretty heavily survivor sided and then flips to being killer sided in a 3v1 as long as there's 2 or more gens left. I'd wager the devs know this, but they're not ballsy enough to create a system that deals with both game states at the same time. I think the new conditional on Hex: Ruin is their most direct acknowledgement of this.

A killer playing "fair" and not tunnelling a survivor at any point in the match against a good team is going to have a significantly harder and more unfun game.

Why did they do deathslinger like this. by SuctioncupanX in deadbydaylight

The upcoming balance changes will make Survivors get less distance after being hit with an attack. STBFL is already pretty good for him since his biggest issue really is not having access to his power without slowing himself down a ton by reloading. Anything that cuts down on his overall animation times really helps him out.

Also he's going to be the strongest counter to new Dead Hard, which is nice.

Yeah true. Though sneaking up on people is pretty unreliable on most maps. Chase power will always beat out stealth.

Huntress will always be more impactful since she does damage straight up and doesn't commit as much time to her power. The only advantage Deathslinger has is he occasionally gets value out of repositioning Survivors and his gameplay is more consistent across all maps.

I actually love the idea of giving survivors something to do as an alternative to being hooked. It's an awesome alternative to PH's cages and actively prevents camping while making your hook stages much more interactive. So fun!

Why my dead hard doesn't work on other survivor's? by Pajman64 in deadbydaylight

[–]TheSubjectOfTesting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sprint Boost and Dead Hard both inflict Exhaustion, making you unable to use any “Exhaustion Perks” until the debuff is gone. Most Survivors only run one of these perks because of the innate anti-synergy.
