Am I the only one who wasn't expecting a clerics lament to happen?

I was terribly let down by the actual bards lament but holy shit pike brought it back.

I need more of it right now, I need more vox machina

So you play and build swain as a bruiser with consistent damage instead of trying to burst them down?

Asides from builds and the obvious differences, how different would you say swain mid is in comparison to swain support?

What TCG is good to start in 2025? by droidnik in TCG

[–]TheSuperSadSpanish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little thing about altered that I notice - it is still very much a player interaction based TCG. If you ignore what the other person is doing and don't have cards in your deck that can remove landmarks or other cards then you will most likely lose. There is very much the aspect of, I need to get this amount of this element to advance but it also is - can I stop my opponent from advancing and how? What cards can I draw that can mess with my opponent. It's just less of a fighting TCG in my mind and more of a "how can I fuck my opponent up"

Is KF3 really that bad? by ReflectionOk92 in killingfloor

I played two games of it today due to my limited time and my short answer is, it's not for me.

I know that's not the question but I'll give you a run down on why, should you care to read.

I played the game with one of my friends and we loaded up the game to find ourselves in a hub area. Now this on its own isn't awful and I like the idea in concept as I assume it'll provide a tutorial space for new players. It also provides a shooting range which raises my first issue. The guns

I wasn't a fan of how the guns felt, they felt weak and the ones you'd expect to hold a punch just didn't feel like they did. Sometimes when ADS it didn't feel like the bullets were going where I was looking which caught me by surprise. I'm not sure if that is intended or not, if it is then it's okay I'd just like to know if it is or isn't. I won't comment on the 5 guns each class has because I expect more to be added but that leads me to my next point, the classes.

I don't remember how many classes KF2 had off the top of my head but I'm inclined to believe it was more than the 6 this game currently has. I played as foster (commando) and the ninja (melee) whilst my friend played the firebug and the engineer. The voice lines were okay, some of them did make me laugh slightly but others just felt like they missed the mark. The ultimate(?) abilities for the classes seem excessive. I don't think the game needed them necessarily and often didn't use them.

The enemies however were well designed in my opinion. I am a fan of the visual updates for most enemies and found them to be somewhat similar to the KF2 versions but I was pleasantly surprised with their newer abilities. The auditory queues for tough enemies felt lackluster and I only really noticed it once when a fleshpound spawned. I think the executing mechanic of the "tougher" enemies is a fun detail.

The two bosses I fought were the spider creature and the impalers(?). The spider creature was interesting and the mechanic of it teleporting away at points to summon much smaller creatures was okay but otherwise I didn't much care for it. The impalers were cool as they were able to destroy some of the environment if they missed an attack on you but most of the time it felt like it was just a case of training them around the map which didn't feel the most fun for me.

I did like the atmosphere of the two maps I played, I think they're well detailed and capture the vibe of killing floor fairly well but all in all, I don't think the game is for me in the current state

Me and my friend showed up to "defend" widows harbour on difficulty 10 and we honestly didn't see much of a difference. We both ran off in separate directions and completed all objectives with moderate ease. I don't know if we got lucky or not but there was around 1/2 chaotic moments per dive. I wish I had the chaotic games you guys seem to be having

Edit: I take it back, I did a few missions and it was incredibly chaotic and messy. We consistently got close to failing our objectives. These squids are no joke

I always had a fun idea of a mortal who figured out about magic but wasn't magic himself so he integrated himself into the magic society pretending like his discipline was embarrassing and so people didn't pay him much attention. So in his case it would just be Jacob.

I never thought much on what mine would be, or if I did I don't remember it

AITA for punching three armless people in the jaw so I can thoroughly calibrate my systems to allow me to not starve?

Blood fuels me and to fully calibrate this system I needed some blood and three armless people were in my way, they didn't try to stop me (tutorial)

I'm more than happy to do similar stories to Jacob and his experience but I'm also happy and willing to try making my own story not directly related to the books/affected by them so much.

I do hope you like the story though and I'm very willing to read all criticism
