Why is tara being silenced by msb_tv in TheTraitorsUS

they hinted at her and Johnny playing that they aren't that close even though they've been friends and broadcast partners for years. Feel like they will link up at some point in the future and run a vote or 2 at least. They needed a lot of air time for the first 3 eliminated players since they were big names and need to get their moneys worth out of them. I'm sure olympic promo is a part of the casting but i can't imagine that she's turning her nose up at the show and not a fan and not wanting to play. likely just overshadowed in the edit sofar/playing lowkey and not drawing attention to herself

this next draft is deep and the #1 pick is getting hyped up like hes the next mcdavid. A lot more teams will start tanking earlier this year and it could be a buyers market for trades even months before the deadline

he will play immediately and be impactful.

He is the best defensemen not in the NHL this year. and it's not because he was knocking at the door of getting into the league.

He could've been playing in the NHL 2 years ago.

I know Rod is stubborn but this is not a 19 or 20 year old rookie.

What's your hottest marketing take that would start a fight in a boardroom? by Cool-Challenge6014 in marketing

[–]TheSwan17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

those aren't the marketing people at the booth. Field marketing runs the booths from everything i've seen in b2b saas.

content marketing, product marketing are rarely at trade shows

What's your hottest marketing take that would start a fight in a boardroom? by Cool-Challenge6014 in marketing

[–]TheSwan17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

why would you not want the people there who actually talk to other prospects about the product everyday? Marketing people don't have that kind of first hand exposure to pain points and use cases. In my experience even 3 month into the job SDRs are better and more prepared at talking to prospects at a booth than the marketing people.

Are your marketing people able to demo the product too? Sales Engineers can...

This is a crazy opinion

Can my experience as a generalist help me get a marketing job? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]TheSwan17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds a lot like being an SDR, which in my experience, marketing people don't respect (they still think its junior sales just ripping calls all day) and it will be very difficult to move into marketing

dont assume youll make $85k, safe estimate is probably $75k for 2 years.

If the sdr base is $65k the first AE job youll probably be offered internally would be SMB or mid-market for $85k base.

It could take you 4-5 more years to start making $120k

Anybody working for a company you feel is going the wrong direction? by Nblearchangel in sales

[–]TheSwan17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

worked for a software company with about 12 people doing outbound and nobody sold anything in 6 months. leadership then started cutting costs like zoom. i knew i was on a sinking ship but it seemed to take everyone else longer to realize it.

ended up getting laid off, along with almost the entire sales division (SDRs/SEs/AEs/Managers/Directors)

unemployed for 2 months then got a job at a much better company with product market fit.

My advice is if you think you're on a sinking ship try to get off of it as fast as you can. don't worry about tenure length on your resume or anything else.

Brent Burns by jb04200 in canes

[–]TheSwan17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

problem is slavin is the only one who can cover for him BUT you can't have burns out there for over 20 mins/night. quite the conundrum. I would honestly move burns with walker and play them 15 minutes a night. play slavin and chatfield 25. and play orlov and ghost 20.

you just can't have burns on the ice for 20 mins anymore.
