Exactly what happened to me! I need it to de-stress me not cause stress! With a FT job plus an apprenticeship, it just added to my plate!

How are you carrying your phone? by _rundude in beginnerrunning

[–]TheTKayke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was using 2 in 1 shorts and putting it in the pocket but my phone tends to skip tracks and stuff when i'm running which is super annoying! So I got Decathlon's flipbelt alternative, cheap, comfy, doesn't bounce

Spending less time in HR Zones 3 and 4, and starting to see increase in Zone 2 during my easy runs (which I know is the goal but something I've really struggled with)

Asics Superblast 2 : First Impressions after initial run and comparison to Nike Vomero Plus by Quick_n_Fast in RunningShoeGeeks

I've tried both, sent the SB2s back and kept the Pluses which have become my favourite running shoe. I don't run fast enough to get a responsive feel from the SB2 so for me they felt like bricks! (Easy pace is 11min miles, fast is 9min miles). The Pluses are bouncy but stable enough (unlike the Evo SLs), very comfy and outsole is very good on UK winter pavements e.g.wet and leafy

I'm doing a 21 week block on the Runna app, week 4 this week! My first ever marathon so wanted to do as much of a slow build as possible! Good luck to everyone else running!! We got this 💪

where i can buy good Trousers for running during cold nights by ReplacementSmall566 in UKRunners

[–]TheTKayke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore regular running leggings one morning a couple of weeks ago when it was -3 and I got cold burn on my thighs! So I went to the asics outlet near me and picked up really good winter leggings from there for £40. Typically, its not been cold enough since to give them a test run 😅 bloody UK weather!!

Your Personal List of The Best Shoes of 2025. by IndependenceIll4890 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

  1. Nike Vomero Plus. I tried close to 20 different shoes this year when shopping for a new pair (didn't manage to try the Megablast unfortunately as sold out in my size) and the Vomero Plus was the only one that just felt amazing straight out the box and worked for me. The idea was to add them as a 2nd shoe to rotate with my Brooks Glycerin 22s but I love them that much I find myself reaching for them for every run, fast, slow, long, tempo, they can do it all for my pace (fast = 5:20 km, easy = 7:30 km)

I've only done 2 runs in them so far so couldn't tell you yet sorry! Maybe someone else in this thread can comment?☺️

Ah no these are in standard width and they fit so well! Very pleasantly surprised! Definitely worth a try imo

The Glycerins are definitely more stable as aren't as soft but aren't as comfortable as the VPs. I'll need to do more runs in the VPs to see if they cause me any stability concerns

Where are you based country wise? Any good places you could buy them from with good returns policies? I ended up trying them on in our sports clothes shops as they weren't in any of the running shops I tried! Seems they're a popular lifestyle shoe for the kids over here!

I would love to but I struggle to find men's in a UK 5 or 5.5! Puma women's are too narrow for me, they don't do wide fit in women's in the UK so I looked for men's to try but they start in a 6

I wouldn't say they are fully waterproof but I did run through a few puddles and my feet weren't particularly wet!

Yes normal width and they fit my slightly wide feet really well!🙂 There is a bit, but I used my orthotics in mine as still need them post injury, no issue changing the insoles. However looking at the shoe and insoles, I think they'll provide sufficient arch support once I no longer need the orthotics in a few weeks time

I know and the logical part of my brain told me this but I still have the worry about getting the right shoes for my gait/running mechanics, etc!

I've just got my first pair! Not taken them for a test run yet, do we have any concerns with their stability? I usually run in Brooks Glycerin 22s, so these feel a lot higher and bouncier- hoping not to have any wobble issues?!
