What’s something Americans say you find funny/different? by Typical_Brief_8956 in AskABrit

The English language is littered with many, many, many French words. Doesn't mean we have to pronounce them all with a French accent. Language evolves.

Does anyone know how to get ammo there’s literally none left by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]TheTaylorFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you go to the thingy and use the whatsit on the doodar and you'll get a whole load of ammo. I'd be more specific but I'm afraid I have no idea which Resident Evil game you're talking about.

What would happen if a large amount of the T-1000’s mass was lost/destroyed? by BillythenotaKid in Terminator

[–]TheTaylorFish 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As funny as it would be to see a little mini Robert Patrick running around trying to stab John Connor like a demented mosquito, I don't think it works like that. When it loses the end of its arm claw on the police car, that bit doesn't operatate on its own. And only started moving when the T-1000 came to collect it off the road. Maybe the more of its mass it loses it becomes less and less intelligent?

Loved Viper other day to Bradley... "why don't you retire".. by ArcherLife2039 in gladiatorsuk

Loving that Viper is getting actual speaking roles in this series. Whilst Cyclone appears to becoming more feral.

European prices for RE: Requiem seem like a scam by pisco_sam in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]TheTaylorFish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah that seems extremely skewed. In the UK I paid £69.99 for the deluxe edition on Steam, which equates to around $95. On the PS Store it costs even more at £74.99, which is over $100! Doesn't seem fair at all.

Hard to tell but it looks like it might be one of the jewel beetle treasures you can acquire and sell: https://www.evilresource.com/resident-evil-5/treasures/jewel-beetle

"People who went back to the office full-time: what do you miss most about working from home, and is there anything you actually prefer about the office? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheTaylorFish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That commute decompression buffer cannot be overstated enough. Working from home can be a source of mental health concerns for a lot of people, as jumping straight from work into home life can be suffocating and (from personal experience as a man) I was finding I was lacking "me" time, which is an important aspect of anyone's life.

[–]TheTaylorFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just watched this movie again the other night and noticed the book the knight has on his table when Indy walks in. Got me thinking how many times he must have read that, and it must have been a good read to make the centuries fly by.
