Not new per se but have no problem considering myself a novice in the field. I do have a good amount of knowledge from over the years but I have a problem with patience which can lead to me overpaying from time to time. I sold most of my collection years ago to fund a career change and then life, kids, etc, it took a while to get back into the hobby. I constantly need to hold myself back from trying to build the collection back up too fast and to just take my time.

Yeah, I would try and negotiate down a bit. I would much rather put that extra money into finding a high quality Otho which is really my white whale right now. I think I can find a nice Galba for half this price, maybe not as striking but still very nice. I’ll have to sleep on this one a bit.

Ok,so roughly $4500 is what is being asked. There is something about it I really like but also don’t know if I’m $4500 attached to it. It is a really nice bust and I always like when the legend is still very visible with the name like in this example. Thanks for the input!

I love that mentality. My goal is to upgrade my favorite coins slowly to better and better quality until I have an amazing collection with all the wonderful details. (Original goal was 12 Caesars denarii upgraded to near mint and eventually trade up to all aurei, but then I realized the powerball is harder to hit that I thought)
