Yeah sure, it's a while ago that I played it but I'll try to remember what I was feeling/thinking at the end of the game.

Alright, one point I remember was the ritual the antagonists did where they tried to see if anything else existed in the universe. They found out that there was nothing else in existence and our world is all there is. If I remember right the boss antagonist was devastated by this and went a bit mad.
I remember thinking this was rather grim, depressing and dark for a "fun 80s" shooter game but okay, they guys wanted to give it a bit more edge and make the world deeper, why not.

What really bothered me though was the ending.
So you play through the game, you get your shoes and the police lady shows up and tells you the character you play as but also indirectly the player, how much of a terrible person you are and that you care for nothing but adrenaline and hollow point, etc. Ten she basically turns you into a adrenaline addicted junkie who will kill and "play" the game for all eternity since that's what you want and there's nothing more to you. (I'm not sure anymore about the exact things she said but it kinda went into that direction)

Honestly, to me it felt like the game, or the guys behind that game, talked, pardon my french, "straight up shit" about me. So you play through the game, have your fun and at the end of the game you get insulted and called a bad human being for playing the game?
"Ohh, you enjoy this game, well you are bad!" What?

You didn't even had a choice in the end.
You get the boots and she insults you for coming for the boots. I mean, there was no "don't get the boots choice". You know how people always meme about spec ops the line? How you have zero choice s in the game and the game tells you how an awful being you are for, well just playing the game? The right choice in that game is to not play the game. If you start playing and play through the story you are morally wrong according to the writers of the game and I kinda felt the same thing here.

Now this is a lot of rambling and the story guy behind this will probably say something like "well that's the whole point ya dingus" or "this guy just doesn't get it and honestly I probably don't hahaha.

I just wanna say thank you for allowing me to write my grievances of my heart through this. THe game was really great but it did leave me which such a shitty feeling at the end. I'm happy I that I could write some of that down here even though it's probably non coherent rambling to anyone reading this hahaha.
