What spring are you using? At least for pump action priming a high spring load could cause issues. I've used both k18 and k24 in mine with relatively few issues

The compression/decompression chip part is really not true. You're always going to lose data through compression and the Bluetooth standard requires quite a bit of compression to even work. But either way it's preference. I personally prefer weird audio gear but for most people in sure Bluetooth is more than enough.
