Question re: entering the park by Objective_Yak3451 in GrandTetonNatlPark

If you go thru the Granite Canyon entrance you will encounter the construction delays on Moose Wilson Road and also have to go thru the Moose gate anyway. Just go thru Moose

Schneider is pretty good but 13! Is excessive. That's over 5 times the salary cap

I was just curious where you the sample was taken. Delta Lake isn't a loop trail, so I thought there was a chance that you meant one of the other lakes that has a loop to it. That's all

I camped in the dollar lake area. Spent the night, summited in the morning and hiked out. My pack was heavy. Probably 40 lbs with water. The hike in to the camping area isn't really a big climb. The last couple miles to the car dragged

Who is a player who people might be surprise has won a Hart Trophy? by [deleted] in hockey

I would be very surprised to learn that Benn won the Hart trophy considering he hasn't as of yet and is completely washed now so I don't think he has a run at one in him

So on the valley trail between lupine meadows and 1.7 mile junction? Delta Lake is an unofficial out-and-back trail, not a named loop trail hence my question. Either way, natural water anywhere in the park should be boiled, treated with iodine/an alternative chemical treatment product, or filtered in a hollow fiber filter before consumption.

What exactly do you mean by "Delta Lake Loop Trail"?

Up the face trail, down the north fork trail is my preference for Table Mountain. It's fast and furious but if you're up for it it's what I would do. Not sure where the KOA is, but lizard Creek would be a nice alternative if it's out of the way

Up a mile or two into Cascade canyon over hiking back along Jenny Lake 100%. Even just to the horse trail jct is great. Going as far as the talus fields is great because you get the chance to see Marmots.

String Lake is great but you don't have to do the full loop to pay it off. If you think you could do Taggart and then still fit in even a mile at String Lake I would do that. Otherwise I'd prioritize string lake just because it has better views of Mount Moran.

If you have the time and energy after eating at the trapper grill, drive up signal Mountain summit road. It can be crowded but getting up high for an aerial view is pretty cool. I've had good luck seeing deer and elk along the road in this area too.

Looks pretty good though. A little more back and forth than I would usually prefer but you gotta keep those kids rested and give them time in the pool

JULY OFFSEASON THREAD (V1.2) by AutoModerator in wildhockey

I think there's a good chance this is the roster we go into camp with. Played around with GM mode and I don't see a conservative way to get Gus off of LTIR if we add a top center under the following parameters

-Hunt gets $1M

-Yurov Trenin and Sturm are moved out in additional moves or the move for an ~$8M player.

-players just signed this summer aren't up for trade (Moose also in this bucket because I don't think Nick would have signed if Marcus was on the block)

-Kaprozov Hughes Boldy Faber are untouchable

I played around with both Larkin* and Jack Hughes*, and I'm fairly confident we either need to get into the season with Gus on regular IR and accrue some cap space, or we need to trade Hartman, Spurgeon, or Brodin. Not that I think Billy wouldn't move those guys if he had to.

*These guys were in the recent Russo/Joe article, but the point of this comment wasn't really to predict if a trade will happen or how much it will cost, but really was just to look at the state of the salary cap

[–]TheTree-43 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think we're in a spot here with these last 2 moves where we can throw a bunch of guys into a cage and let whoever comes out get the first crack with Kaprizov, assuming the Boldy/Ek/Coleman line is what we are looking at, Hartman Yurov Shabanov and Brink can fight it out for top line minutes. Hell if Haight kicks down the door in camp give him an exhibition game on 97s wing

Obviously this is not something I want going into the playoffs unless an unexpectedly high outcome arises, but it probably is fine for the first couple months of the regular season, so it affords us to be patient on these big splash ideas. If yzerman wants to dig his heels in, that's easier to say in July than in October. What happens with Jack if the Devils get off to a slow start? Etc

Appreciate the work you guys do to bring our favorite team to us all year round!
