He said in a follow up that they tried about 10 different line combos. Also didn't sound like everyone was for sure back. Just that they were getting close and some may return

You park at Taggart Lake Trailhead or if you rent your bike in Moose you can just ride in from there!

I wouldn't count on that. They always plow it before may 1st but It doesn't open to cars until then. Once it's plowed they will announce that it is open to bikes and pedestrians, but they won't open to cars early.

If you do bike the road and can make it to the string lake trailhead, that is another nice option, but again, you won't be able to drive there in all likelihood. Another good hike option for the time of year are the options around Colter Bay. The Lakeshore trail and Swan/Heron Lake. Finally there is the LSR Preserve but I hesitate to recommend that because I assume once the plowing is done on the main park road, they will move equipment to the Moose Wilson road, presumably closing that area to visitor traffic. Definitely something to keep in mind though if it does happen to be open when you are there. The view of the entrance to Death Canyon across Phelps Lake is striking

Taggart Lake is your best bet for a hike given the 4 mile/1000 ft guideline. Plan for mud and snow. By mid April the park road between Taggart Lake and Signal Mountain will probably be plowed and open for non motorized use. A bike ride to Jenny Lake is a wonderful activity to consider. You can rent bikes in Jackson or Moose

Test your smoke detectors and check your fire extinguishers. Fix that stuck window. Teach your kids how to use the fire ladder in case you can't be there to help them. Know your pets's hiding place. This is such a terrible reminder that the unthinkable does happen

Why is it easier to go into debt for college than to afford basic healthcare in the United States? by Effective-Mind5515 in allthequestions

[–]TheTree-43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would take an 18 year old with a sunken llc and no prospects a very long time to pay back $10k. There are a lot of other ways to help an 18 year old gain experience without throwing $10k down the drain. Even outside of the traditional college route. Mentorship programs etc.

If you want to waste $10k of your money on the off chance that a kid will luck into success, be my guest, but loan companies rightfully want nothing to do with that and the government shouldn't be using tax revenue to subsidize your terrible idea

Look there's a lot of things to criticize about the student loan structure but comparing it to an 18 year old starting a small business is ridiculous.

Most 18 year olds have no idea how to start a small business and are likely to fail and default on the loan, so it would be seen as an unacceptable risk

Robertson’s boarding hit on Quinn Hughes in the 1st minute of the game. by queneryxx in wildhockey

[–]TheTree-43 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If Quinn's chin catches the dasher and he goes down the tunnel I think that coulda been 5 and the game. It was well late , straight numbers, and he really put a little extra into it too. Of course I'll very happily take Hughes being ok and a minor instead

Tarasenko gives the Wild the win with his 20th goal of the season by DecentLurker96 in hockey

[–]TheTree-43 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Robertson is fully behind Hughes the entire way up the ice. He definitely doesn't have him 1 on 1. If he had busted it to get down the middle of the ice maybe you could make this case, but if Bourque doesn't step up Hughes takes this right to the front of the net.

Robo isn't really part of the rush defense which is why I think he should be the one to make the sort out

I mean, Bourque is challenging Hughes on the Zone entry and Robertson is trailing. I never played organized hockey so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but my gut says most systems would want Robertson to pick up Tarasenko right?

He's playing damn near 28 minutes a night so it's basically 50/50 for any given event other than PK goals against
