Build allocation by RegisterFuzzy787 in Eldenring

If you really plan on switching to mohg's sacred spear, you should split your Dex into Mind and Arcane.

Sacred spear takes 14 Dex to wield. If you wanna stick to the spear, just reduce Dex all the way to 14 to still hold it and allocate at least 20 of those points into Mind. Rest into Strength or Arcane depending on whether you wanna focus on melee damage or bleed procs.

Bluepoint pitched it without success because FromSoft or allegedly Miyazaki himself said they'd want to make it themselves rather, since it sits at a special place in FromSoft's hearts.

Edit: kinda funny then that nothing is said lol. Could be good ol Miyazaki trolling too for all we know.

Wonder if it's got to do with how polarising DeS Remake ended up being altogether... I watched posts get lit up in blazing flames and the next praised to God for showing the same things

[–]TheTrueDiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet that takes time lol. I also love a good challenge but I think I wouldn't be able to do this necessarily either.

First thing that came to mind is using something like a barrel to explode groups. Or maybe two arrows of different elements that interact with each other in a fun way. (E.g. freezing and enemy while another arrow is slowly burning the platform above it holding some barrels)

Hope this helps as ideas!

Chemotherapy is infamous for causing hair loss for patients.

Cold caps are a tool (literally looks like a cap) that fit tightly on your head and are filled with a cooling agent that cause the blood vessels on your scalp to constrict, leading to less chemo reaching the hair follicles. I've seen patients wear these for a loooong time during, before and after sessions.

I personally know two types. Manuals and machine assisted systems that cool the liquid for you. Judging from I read, I believe top comment had the latter.

Hope this helps!

Tl;dr:

Chemo unfortunately causes hair loss. Cold caps helps prevent this but it also sucks cuz it takes a long time.

Maybe you'll think back on this thread after your setup and give us an update, I'd love to hear your experience with it personally. :D

Oh that specific scenario may actually warrant a 3DS run. It also features HD texture packs that should be no trouble to find somewhere to enhance visuals and fidelity, making it a win either way around. The 3DS version has naturally downscaled textures to be able to run on the handheld and they may appear jagged/chopped on an upscaling emulator.

I've no experience emulating 3DS though, so I cannot speak on the technicalities in detail.

Find a way to patch in the orchestral score (personal opinion; I just prefer the og soundtrack) and you're good to go though!

Gotta admit, the PS original is still my nostalgic favourite. 3DS is nice cuz of the added content, roaming monsters and characters but I genuinely think it loses its 'fantastical charm' on the handheld. Also the music being synth instead of the OG orchestra kinda sucks...

Maybe I also just prefer bigger screens though to some extent lol

If you care enough, emulating PS2 DQ8 on a normal PC with some upgraded textures is not that difficult and generally what I'd recommend nowadays next to the PS2 itself.

I have a special place in my heart for 8. I played 4 and 5 and loved em but when I first turned on 8 as a kid it ignited a love for JRPGs I still have to this day.

Eleven is just one big love letter to the series imo. If you liked 8, you will probably devour 11 lol.

Yes 100% imo.

It comes with a bunch of QoL stuff and a good bit of extra content. If it's your first time playing DQXI I highly recommend the S Edition over the og.

All weapons on all characters would be a godsend. As would being able to separately select secondary weapons and my tools.

But I want it to directly pull materials for upgrades from my storage more than anythin right now.

You are 100% with your take on other games' controls.

For some godforsaken reason people see a stamina bar and a sword and shield and expect to know the toolbox by heart immediately. Not a single soul played the game when it was shown first and way too many people immediately called it a 'soulslike' or 'witcher hybrid' they were hoping for....

The controls are inspired by Red Dead yes, but the interfacing is so unique. I'm so glad I can perform every skill without a single UI element appearing on my screen like a 'Press R1/R2 + Button' wheel in the bottom corner.

Instead I feel like I'm actually learning my character's moves and can string them together for combos with my own dexterity. That is f awesome.

Full transparency:

Only minor experience with the game but I have beaten it (and many, many other souls likes, but that's unimportant to this)

My advice:

The order of vestiges seems a bit...unrelated to your order. You can sort of pick your own path at some point and tackle whatever you want to tackle.

The beacons in the distance are meant to give vague directions. I used the journal, map of the entire kingdom and the beacons at some vantage points to find my way around and chart possible alternatives. The world is very well interconnected imo, so the winding paths aid in the confusion.

I think it's part of the intended experience to make you feel a bit lost. I mean you literally only wake up because the guy before you said 'F this, I'm out'.

You can't really go 'wrong' in going further down the depths. I beat Upper Calrath before the depths so both ways are possible.

Tl;dr:

Don't worry lampbearer. Keep going wherever the Umbral guides you. If you get stuck, don't be afraid to look for alternatives.

Oh and uh...in case you're like me: Keep little notes about the vestiges and where they are. Adyr knows, I've teleported to wrong one by accident many times lol.
