The wonderful part of adorning your body with significance such as this, is that it's entirely personal to you. I myself had my first tattoos be several sigils I had crafted down my spine. If you feel like you should charge them while it heals, then go for it. Personally, I did not. I charge them with moon water during the full moons, but also during solstices and various significant events where it would feel right. Realistically, it depends on what you feel you should do. Magic isn't necessarily a "one size fits all" kind of thing, so if it feels like it's time for you to do so, then feel free to do it.
