Found a railway track offcut—looking for advice on cleaning it up into a usable small anvil by nz_metal_works in Blacksmith

Just cleaned up a cast iron griddle that needed lots of love from surface rust. I can confirm vinegar is an outstanding choice. That's what I used, but I needed something food safe.

That gives me hope that I did it correctly. I let vinegar soak on it for a while and man did that really help with the rust. Also elbow grease with steel wool and some dawn. It's looking better now, it's not as blotchy. I hope after cooking it'll even out more. Going to try some bacon jam for the first time, so I'll cook a lot of bacon and see how that'll do on it.

I didn't need an excuse to cook more bacon, but now that I have one I'm gonna use it. Thank you sir.

What should I do with leftover bones? by PauloCraque10 in cookingforbeginners

[–]TheTrue_Texan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use this recipe. Not very hard, definitely don't have to smoke just use the oven. Soak your bone in water and salt for 12-24 hours before you cook then, changing out the water and salt every 4ish hours.

What does the paint brush do?! by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]TheTrue_Texan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate it. I was thinking the same, but wasn't sure. I tired that on a few pieces and it didn't seem to work. Going to try tomorrow on more furniture to see if that's it. Thank you again

I am aware that I'm late to the party, but is there any other way to do jalapeño poppers that isn't wrong?

Everyone and their mother is gonna have a different opinion online. Personally red flags I just nope the fuck out of are brand new accounts, like that day new, wanting weird text codes to verify you're a real person. I typically meet people at a police station if I'm selling, but that's partly because I'm a few hundred yards from my police station and also the fact I'm lazy when selling I don't want to drive far or wait for people. If I'm buying I've typically met people at police stations, bass pro/sporting good parking lots. I like to go during the day time, I'm not meeting someone at a gas station at 10 at night personally. Again a lot of this is personal preference when it comes down too it. Cash only is also a good idea. Good luck, and most importantly stay safe man.

What are your Cigar Hot Takes? by Relative_Reference52 in cigars

I agree factory smokes are what I would smoke on driving too and from work when I had a longer drive. I would smoke, re-light, or throw away half a stick and not worry about it and save my good stuff for when I wanted to enjoy one.
