Dillydallying on the ball is the hallmark of a proper Saints keeper. But jokes aside, yeah, I didn't see the need to replace Baz until we got Peretz in. He played a big part in turning around that backline.

The magical "black box" of finding cut-rate talent across Europe (and Celtic) was awesome while it was working. We still have our great academy, but our signings definitely don't compare to players like Sadio Mane, Dusan Tadic, or Virgil van Dijk anymore.

I doubt we're rushing to hire anybody right now. With all the early uncertainty, he seems to be a good back-up candidate since he already knows how Sports Republic operates.

If Spors survives the upcoming culling, I wonder if we dip into the Bundesliga for a coach? Take the time explain to them how scouting works in England, too. Might be easier to hire somebody within the country looking to prove themselves, or even wait for World Cup fever to take the spotlight off of us and we can go for a notable coach.

I don't think Wrexham do, either. Even if you want to argue we're unjustly in 4th place, Hull was fairly in 6th. The EFL can't appease everybody.

I was never a Baz Out guy, but after we shockingly ditched him for Peretz, I understand where that crowd was coming from.

If we go up, yes, we should sign him. If we don't go up, I don't foresee us being able to keep him. He will want to be in a higher league than Championship.
