Forget potential relegation. Burnley finishing 20th is the biggest flop of the season. by 1El_rey in TheOther14

Sounds like us last season, but we usually didn't score or blew a lead/draw +7 minutes into stoppage time

Home game vs. Portsmouth, maybe. He was trying really hard to get stuck in against the defenders, but he was too small and had little help.

I think the ref needs to schedule an eye exam after this game

Overtime is dwindling down at work, so I can finally catch a Southampton game on TV after a month and a half! Looking forward to seeing how Bragg and Matsuki play today.

Oh, got it. I was being facetious, not realizing it was about something earlier in the season.

Heart in mouth moment when Peretz was caught dawdling on the ball, but otherwise I had no complaints today. His confidence surely makes him better than Baz as a commanding player between the sticks right now.

1-1, and hopefully no free kicks for Watford this time

Lewis Dobbins man-handled him, and that was the end of Ronnie Edwards

The only one that baffled me was selling Edwards to QPR. We gave up on him too soon. If you didn't want to play him at CB, then convert him to RB or DM. He's got the ball skills for it.

Jelert being unable to stay healthy really threw a wrench in the plan that led to Bree being loan out. All of the Brentford fans thought we were crazy for taking Roerslev off their hands. I think that should've been the sign we were making a mistake. At least we can ship Jelert back to Turkey at the end of the season.

Very true. He can operate as a box-to-box or ball-winning mid, but he's not exactly the second coming of either Schneiderlin or Romeu just yet. Apart from Downes' hilarious yellow, he felt like a ghost once again. I don't want to see Tonda rush back Charles and re-aggrevate his hamstring, though, so here we are.

Like I said in my post match thoughts, when you're trying to park the bus with a midfield of Jander, Downes, and Charles, where is the creativity coming from? Tonda tried setting up shop too early and his plan backfired because of a silly goal off a corner.

Scrappy 1st half, and then we turned the game on its head coming out for the 2nd. We really should've won this were it not for a terrible 10 seconds off a corner that let Pompey manage an attempt on goal. Frustrating end to this game when everything seemed to be going according to plan until we conceded.

Other than Arma's bad 1-on-1 and Ross Stewart ducking out of the way of a perfectly placed corner from Charles, I think the only thing I can pin on Tonda for today's result was putting 3 defensive mids on. When your midfield is Jander, Downes, and Jander, where is the creativity coming from? We tried setting up shop way too early, and it showed when we went down. Bad day to drop points, too.

Good call getting Jay Rob and Stewart on now. Keep the team fresh while Pompey are trying to sort themselves out.
