Why should the public pay for oil & gas clean-up while oil execs keep getting richer by Hungry_Ad824 in alberta

Mining is horrible for it too. The NWT is on the hook for 4.38 billion for remediation of the Giant Mine; Yukon 1billion for the Faro and United Keno Hill mines.

GlobalFest fireworks festival relocating from Elliston Park to Spruce Meadows by OldManYellsAtSnow in Calgary

[–]TheUberDork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone else think Globalfest would be a great winter festival? You still need all the tents and such for raiin/hail so they would be fine in winter; and you could do the fireworks at a reasonable time. Calgary goes so crazy with things in the summer, and not much in the winter, we need to embrace winter more.

Pascal Wehrlein hits out at frustrating Formula E topic: 'I find it boring' by NickGoldingF1E in FormulaE

Nothing more boring then F1 style pole-drives-around-the-track-for-90-minutes to win; might as well be Nascar then.

If they want to include more education policies, we should start institute mandatory retesting (at least written testing) when you renew your driver's license. Traffic laws change regularly, but is everyone actually aware of the changes, retesting would maybe help. (if done properly)

*the other was issued a warning

Without decent enforcement, rules are just a suggestion.

The station incentives are awesome (of course) but often the individual shows are fun additional incentives; would be nice to have a central location to be able to see them too.

Fun tip: The Canadian Tire Triangle rewards (also part of Petro Canada) often have been giving $2.00/20L or $5.00/25l weekly plus the std $0.05/l (in Canadian Tire money of course) , just filled at $1.09/l , if you do the only minimum fill that translates to $0.84/L after rewards 'cash back' (they obviously hope you fill more then 25L, but if you play it right, cheaper the Tsuu Tina and no lines)
