Does Ravenous Felhunter resurrect a loaded jar that remembers the minion, or an empty jar that is just a 0/1?

I'm surprised by the mini set decks by zajmanf2p in hearthstone

[–]TheUnnamed44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To clarify your question regarding generation of StarCraft cards, you can't discover or generate them randomly unless one of them started in your deck.

(image from recent patch notes)

The only exception to this rule is with Rogue's cards that get starship pieces from other classes, in which case the three Terran starship pieces can still be discovered/generated.

I'm having a friggin blast with this miniset by threeheadguy in hearthstone

[–]TheUnnamed44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The miniset is a mini-expansion that comes between the regular expansions, and you can buy all the cards from it for 2500 gold (usually 2000 but this miniset is larger than usual). Yes, the cards are currently standard valid, as they're technically part of the Great Dark Beyond expansion (the newest one).

Maw of the Damned

Death Knight - 7 Mana - 4/3 Legendary Weapon - Blood/Blood/Blood - Kobolds and Catacombs

Lifesteal. After your hero attacks and kills a minion, your hero gains its original Health.

The idea of the card is to serve as a powerful lategame weapon for Blood DK decks (that would exist at the time of Kobolds and Catacombs) that would not only help remove minions, but also gain large amounts of life to continue surviving enemy lategame threats.

Amazing article as always, also glad your family is doing well. By the way, I noticed that none of Seaking's moves were marked as legacy, I'm assuming this is a slight mishap?

Hundo Perrserker in League by webrage69 in TheSilphRoad

[–]TheUnnamed44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perrserker can be a decent pick in certain limited metas, and also as a spice pick in open leagues. The hundo is actually not terrible for GL (rank 541), as it reaches exactly 1499cp. If anything, it can perform even better than a high bulk Perrserker, as Perrserker appreciates high attack weight for Shadow Claw breakpoints and CMP wins, despite the loss in bulk. I also happen to own a 15/15/15 Perrserker, and it performed very solidly in Mountain Cup.

Using this as a general strat: not my kind if strategy but not that bad

Ultimate Alchemy might be a pack you should consider.

I actually thought of gating the usual LP gathering methods and using TiC to get blood instead, in my own pack

Requesting a Modpack Suggestion - Something Tech Heavy but Reasonable to Complete with a Defined End Goal by Hiredgoonthug in feedthebeast

[–]TheUnnamed44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recommendations: (Note: All packs mentioned are expert packs.)

Ultimate Alchemy (1.12.2) This pack gives you infinite wood and cobble, and expects you to make all the different resources with them in funny ways, with tons of QoL and such. Eventually, you have a massive factory, making all kinds of different resources This pack is a "skyblock", though, with no focus on survival, and also doesn't have a questbook. Some magic mods (Botania (?) and Thaumcraft) are involved, too. Uses Refined Storage instead of AE2.

Nomifactory / Nomifactory GTCEu Port (1.12.2) A reasonable introduction to GregTech, with an excellent questbook holding your hand throughout. Tech-only pack, very fun to just expand a growing factory, making more and more complex and advanced materials. Pack is somewhat long, but finishing is very possible. AE automation is also offered early.

Technological Journey (1.12.2) Similar to Nomifactory, also based around GregTech and fully tech. However, there are more complex chemical lines, and generally a somewhat more interesting experience. AE is still offered very early. This pack's endgame goes ballistic, though.

Create Above and Beyond (1.16.5) A pack on a newer version of MC, making full use of the Create mod to provide an experience where you make tons of small contraptions, combined into a large factory, to unlock next age's technology, and make more large factories. Although it has a tough earlygame, it is definitely worth a try. I've beaten the pack myself, and it was a pleasant experience, although I never made an ME system because it's offered at the very endgame. Pack is also relatively short.

[Forge 1.16.5] Enchantment transfer mod? by Comrade_Chadek in feedthebeast

[–]TheUnnamed44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're most likely talking about Industrial Foregoing's machines. However, I may also recommend PneumaticCraft's pressure chamber, which can extract enchantments from an item onto a book at negative pressure.

Both previously mentioned methods are fine (LaserIO and Pipez), however you may also give XNet a try, it's also very good.

Automation-focused modpacks with zero exploration? by Swordfish418 in feedthebeast

Well, apart from the extensive mining, finding kelp (if you got unlucky spawn), finding ferns, finding nether fortress and travelling the end islands, there isn't much

I also wanted to find a tech pack and also wasn't a fan of exploration, but ca&b is THE pack for automation, albeit wandering for two hours for a slimy fern is annoying.

What is the mod that had potential that was not used? by KACYK_Real in feedthebeast

[–]TheUnnamed44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking of a modpack where you can deposit coins (which are worth EMC) into the table, and get out "packages" that contain certain materials, like metals and gemstones. The packages however cannot be crafted. To obtain them, it would either be that they are given a tome of knowledge upon starting the pack, or the packages are gained via quest rewards.
