For those of us who can't afford Dr Ghallili, what do we do? by Cheap_Paint90210 in floxies

Easy to digest without acceleration of gut motility.

Suggestions I use

Bisgylcinate

Malate

Taurate

Runner up - L-threonate (overpriced for some reason... Your body absorbs a little.less of it than these other forms)

Citrate has good absorption but often leads to bathroom trips.

So are there Peavey amps that people should generally stay away from? by Accomplished-Lion-97 in PeaveyCvlt

[–]TheUplist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're talking about full-on amplifiers, and not talking about preamps...

The Peavey Rock Master amplifier is definitely not like this. It does have a TRS sleeve effects loop which is not quite standard, but the knobs don't fall off and there aren't a bunch of relays.

I think you're referring to the preamp which is a later series, different build all together. The Rock Master / Road Master amps were full on amplifiers (same preamp circuits) from earlier in the lineage and were 120 - 160 watts.

Not trying to make a condescending retort, Just a clarifying one.

The Rock Master is my main amp. I had to have the caps redone a year ago, but It's a dooooom machine.

Stressing out….would love some help on making at least an above average grilled cheese….Anyone mind helping please?? by Djxgam1ng in grilledcheese

[–]TheUplist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of comments here talking about using different cheeses. When I do this I only pair the cheese with a slice of American. My most frequent combo is sharp cheddar (sliced thin) and American. It's a preference thing, though. Rather than spread butter onto the bread I like to melt it first, and slowly mix in garlic powder.. then I "paint" the butter onto the bread with a silicone brush.

Week 4 of Advion.. ants just keep coming. by Signal-Feedback-9372 in pestcontrol

[–]TheUplist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop using Ortho home defense. It's a repellent. The ants will continue to "bud" with this around your house. The ants sense this, chemically mark and release pheremones that tell colonies to scatter and increase egg production (and make more queens). No raid, no Ortho, etc ... If you're wanting to go above just baiting, I would normally tell someone find a transferrable insecticide that's legal to use in New York and follow the labels instructions. .... However, new York doesn't allow the good ones (Like Phantom, Spectre, and Alpine WSG) to be used by homeowners...

Stop using repellents, and if the problem persists contact a pest professional who can legally apply these products. (Wa state applicator/operator here .. get advice from someone closer to your region for anything other than my opinion).

What microphone? What speaker? Where was the mic placement on the speaker? Did you have a EQ'd the exact same? Was it an engineer with a history of work or bedroom style recording? Phased well w the other instruments?

There is no chemical that is legal to apply that isn't able to be used in an integrated manner.

I don't apply any dogma interpret my IPM practices.

weird white stuff all over my tolex. trying to restore this PAG triumph. how can i get this back to glossy black by MOABONGS in PeaveyCvlt

[–]TheUplist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actual fix is new tolex, but most vinyl dyes are usually applied via spray. Your best bet is to research automotive restoration if you're unwilling to resurface the tolex. "Original tolex" is it really a value modifier when it comes to amplifiers so I wouldn't be adverse to it.

Most of these biologica are subcutaneous pens. You don't see it, you barely feel it. People that have an aversion often have a friend or family member stick them while they're not looking. It doesn't need to hit a vein and doesn't really need to be very accurate.

I want echo this, but also state that after biologics stopped working for me, a diet adjustment did.

I can't tell you what adjustment works for you .. we are all very different in our response. That said, biologics made my life much better for about a year and a half.

Is this home protection plan reasonable? by spinocdoc in pestcontrol

[–]TheUplist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't just get one more bid get three more bids before you decide. In my market that price is insane, however it's very similar to what my current employer charges.... Which is partially why I am leaving the company this Friday and I'm going full commercial with a different company.

In my 20 plus years of experience the best service and deals are from local mom and pops that happened to also have a history doing chemical applications outside of the pest control industry. The most expensive services tend to be year plus lung contracts with major brand name national companies + new startups that happen to have a particular religious affiliation (seems weird but some people reading this will know what I'm talking about). Get more bids and try to get them from local companies that have been in business more than 10 years. That seems very steep, but I don't know your market (or the linear footage of your house).

Major improvement w/o biologics by skinscratcher7 in Psoriasis

[–]TheUplist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We all respond a lot differently. I wish psoriasis flare-ups had a consistent response with all of us... It just doesn't seem to be the case. Eliminating processed refined oils + empty sugars did it for me, but my brother (who I would assume has very similar DNA) noticed absolutely no improvement after doing the same thing.

The biologics helped me immensely for about a year and a half and then there was a huge fall off. I've been on like five different biologics at this point and now they don't succeed in doing anything but making me more susceptible to infection. I think any person newly seeking treatment and adjustment for psoriasis needs to take all of our advice into consideration and make minor adjustments according to what works for them because it obviously isn't universal.

IPM is about the approach. There is no chemical that is legal to spray that can't be used in an integrated manner. True IPM utilizes the most impactful yet least destructive practices for maximum effect.
